Ryan Nau -> Zenoah G62 Best Hovering prop? (8/18/2003 7:04:36 PM)

I have a Lanier Giant Stinger I've been flying for a while now with a G62. I been mostly using a 20x8 Zinger prop. It hovers with it but needs lots of throttle. Im not sure but I think you can go up to a 22x10 prop on a G62? Would this be the best prop for hovering with this motor? Or what would be the best. I have enough of ground clearance for the 22" prop. How much thrust would I get with it?
Also I have a Sig Four Star 120 with a G23 with 16x8 MAS prop, any better prop for hovering?
I switched to using premium gas with the correct oil mixture and the premium works lots better then regular gas.

Try a 22x10 or 24x8... Should provide about 26-28lb when using MenzS props.
On my own G-62 I currently use a MenzS 26x8 cut down to 25". This prop will hover my 22lb tug, although it will not pull out very fast...:)
