My transmitter nicad (9.6 volt/8cell) normally peaks at 11.3 volts under load after an overnight charge at C/10 rate. I have noticed lately a slight drop in voltage , it is now coming off charge at about 11.1 volts. Transmitter is Futaba 6XAS and all voltages are courtesy of the transmitters built in ESV. Battery pack is 3 years old and has somewhere between 70-100 charge cycles. Is this normal ageing of the pack and nothing to be concerned about or does it indicate high internal resistance and time to deep cycle or replace the pack? Also when replacing the pack on this transmitter, is all memory lost or is their a keep alive circuit that maintains the computer memory?

The only good way to see if as pack need to be replaced is to run it by a cycler to see how much capacity it still has. Of course if the battery is dead you are pretty sure its time.

The Futaba transmitters have a non volatile memory so you won't lose whatever you have programmed into it.
