If so, what kind of turn-around time did you see?

Yes I have. Sent in my 3 rhinos for annual service as it has been too hot to fly. They were sent in and serviced, and returned in a reasonable amount of time. I did not use a calendar to keep track since I have always received prompt and effective service from Eric and Jet Central.

We sent one in before Ky Jets and we had it back within two weeks, I think it was. Louie talked with Eric several times along the way (it was his engine for the Eurosport) to keep tabs on it, but it went down to Mexico and back pretty quickly.

Got an engine that's been at JetCat now for a bit longer for servicing - tick tock...

OK. Thanks.

I sent a motor in on May 20th. I received an invoice for the repairs on June 23rd. I paid the invoice by credit card on June 24th. I still do not have the motor back. I was wondering if this was typical for the busy summer season or not. It seemed like an awful long time to me.

They have always shipped mine the day the invoice was paid. I would just give Eric a call and let him track it down.

Oh yea, I would have called Eric on the 25th if I hadn't gotten a tracking number or notice that it was coming back. Definitely give him a call and I'm sure he'll track it down.

Thank you. I have contacted Eric every 2-3 weeks since sending the motor in (most recently abut 10 days ago). He did not have any specific details, but told me that Mexico is very busy and motors are processed on a first-in first-out basis. That is why I was wondering what other people's times have been.

Gave a Rhino to Eric at Kentucky Jets on July 10th, and was inform early this week that the engine is ready to be shipped back to me. IMO, that's a ready good turn around time.

Juan:

Thank you for taking my call this evening. I understand that you will finally be shipping my turbine back today and will be sending me a tracking number shortly.

As I mentioned on the phone, I am confused as to how you did not know that I had paid Eric two months ago given that Eric told me he was checking with you on the status periodically over the last couple of months. It is a rather strange circumstance and I am disappointed it took this much fuss to get an answer and that most the flying season has been lost.

I look forward to receiving the motor. Thank you for your assistance.

I am glad your difficulty seems to be resolved. I sent a super bee out and was very happy to recieve it back about six weeks later. Unfortunately I need to increase the delay for high altitude operation. For three weeks now I have been trying to get hold of Eric to help unlock the ecu. 5 times now I have been told he was busy and to expect a call back. I have tried to be patient and recognize he has been busy with Kentucky jets and WJM, but three weeks, really. All I need is five minutes of his time and can't get a call back. I sent an inquiry direct to support on the jet central site a few days ago and have yet to hear back. Anyway the point, anyone know how to unlock the xeicoy ecu?

PM sent.

Wow, I am really surprised to see these posts. Does not seem to jive with the experiences of others - I am sure Eric and Juan will clear this up on here soon. To those involved, don't lose faith, this is not typical!

This is unusual for Eric. I see only 1 post on RCU over a month ago from him. Although his last log on was 8/6. Maybe he is taking a much needed vacation these last 2 months. If not, "get well soon" may be in order? Something is up as your event is an exception......

I just spoke to Eric yesturday and have never had a problem contacting him. Emails are always answered same day even if he is at an event. I had a pitot probe replaced for the speed sensor and Eric had it ordered the next day and it was overnighted to me in toronto from mexico. I sent in for service two years ago around april or may and got it back in less than two weeks. Beaver or whatever, if you have a personal vendetta with Eric then don't try to make him look bad here on rcu. I guess certain characters don't get along with many different people and I have heard of the character you are. And no, don't get too excited as this did not come from Eric.

Smitty1001 thankyou. I will be home Sunday afternoon and will greatly appreciate your help. I also want to express that the excellent reputation of Eric and jet central weighed heavily in my decision to purchase the super bee. I am sure there is a reason for my experience. Finally my post was a plea for help and not intended to be any sort of personal attack.

Well since KY jets Eric has been busy with both Jet Related and non Jet Related issues, he has attended The WJM, then on to last weeks event in Hamburg PA, every time I see Eric he is on his phone taking calls from customers.

Like Smitty1001 said, I'm sure either Juan or Eric will get back to you soon.

I don't know about you but all I ever see or can find from searching the forum is praise about Eric and I can say I have the same experience with him. I have yet to see a complaint about him. I'm sure that just like people with good experiences come on here to rave, the people with less positive experiences would comment here as well but that rarely happens and that must count for something. People give negative feedback on this forum all the time about different companies or individuals. So far I have only read your rants and we don't ever get a reason why. This situation with the person you know isn't as simple as you put it, there has got to be more to the story. With how exceptional Eric is in most situations why would he go comletely opposite with someone knowing it can get on the forum.

In business dealings that involve interaction between two individuals it is almost impossible to acheive the ideal of "100% customer satisfaction" simply because people are people. We are all different in the way that we process interactions. What you might say to me in jest or a joking manner in your eyes , I might interpret as a slight or insult. Your actions in dealing with me might be sincere but I might feel that you are trying to get over on me. And sometimes things slip between the cracks and some one will have a real and viable reason to be upset. And some people just don't click, and no matter how hard the other party tries, the other will not be satisfied.

I can tell you that all my dealings with Eric have been positive. I have purchased three turbines from him and three airframes through him over the past four years. The few times I had service issues and a motor had to be sent in for service I received it back in reasonable time. Eric attends most of the major Jet meets up and down the east coast and quite a few of the smaller meets. No other Jet manufacture can claim that and that is a fact that I have seen with my own eyes. So long as he sells and represents Jet Central products and Jet Central turbines maintain the level of dependability and service that I have received so far, that is what I will buy and fly.

There is no doubt their are some folks who feel differently and feel fully justified with their opinion. Nothing wrong with that, once again people are people.

But it is also fact that there is a much, much, larger group that feels as strongly about the product as I do.

Take care,

Mike

I am chiming in here to follow up on what has already been said by Juan who is our Service Engineer. While embarrassing, the fact is our accounting department as well as shipping department were foiled (fooled) by two names which when spelled, were only two letters apart. Shima and Shamah respectively. Gentlemen, we apologize. Gruntled, you did in fact pay for the services requested on the 24th of June. I personally process payments via credit card from around the world. When processed, the receipt is scanned and emailed to our accounting office in Mexico. There it is cross referenced and matched. It was at this process our system failed. This is the first time in 9 years of my association (last 5 as an employee) with Jet Central we have had this occur. Juan and I have discussed this with the result being a cross check between the two of us to insure this does not happen again. Gruntled, I personally apologize for the loss of use of your turbine. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you further.

To all other readers I extend my personal thanks for your support. . .making a mistake happens but it is not the mistake that is important, it is the way we correct the mistake.

Respectfully submitted,
Eric Clapp
Managing Director

I started dealing with Eric and will continue to do so even if I am suppose to go through the canadian rep. Our rep. came after I started talking with Eric and to me that shows a lot about Eric if I would rather deal with him. Obviously the complaint you mentioned is not exactly as you told it and the other wasn't a fault of Eric' as Juan has told us what happened. So, I still don't see a complaint directly about Eric. I will go now and put another flight on my rabbit sprint.
