Nothing is cooler than Miss Outlaw, period.

I had one of these when I was 15 and my Uncle always liked it and complained about me selling it. So now 17 years later I picked one up for him.

I wont lie, she was in bad shape. She was beat up, abused and was sitting unloved for years I was told.

Real soon she will be coming back to life. I just completed all her repairs. All I have left is to seal the cockpit and fix up the on/off switch rod. She was cracked across the back where the bottom seam is flanged. It was no doubt a hard rudder impact that did this to her. She also had a crack along the radius on one sponson. Lastly she had a crack by the radio box. Needless to say there were numeros small cracks around the seam. All has been epoxy sealed. Oh ya, the best part- somebody cut windows out of the cover... I back filled it with epoxy and micro ballons.

Miss Outlaw air hydro! Thunder Tiger PRO 46 (I had an IS 46FX). We have 10x6, 10x8, 11x6 and 11x7 props. What will she do??? Only time will tell! Need to break the brand new motor in first.

Video to come soon!

That engine needs a Jettstream muffler. It'll give you an extra 1000rpm right off the bat, and with more run time it'll give up another 500rpm. I've got the same setup on an outrigger scratchbuild.

Nice boat, btw. Get a video of that baby running. Nothing like old school.

I had one of those on my 46FX and its screamed like a banshee. Well back then it did. Im an FE person now, so Im sure these will be slow. To my Uncle who doesnt do RC (until now) its probably going to be stupid fast.

We have an OS 46 LA also. But we put the better motor on the boat

I got one in March for $45, just had to put a receiver in it and clean up the engine but it just has a .25FP... I'm thinking of putting the .40LA on it that I have on the shelf, the .25 runs to about half tank then dies out... not to mention it's lack of power in this application.

It's a MAC's "Flow Thru" muffler.

That muffler in the link above should be a last resort. I've heard many people tried using them and actually had worse performance with it than a stock muffler. I havent used one myself, but I would spend the extra cash for a Jettstream or Ultrathrust. They look a lot nicer too.

A tower hobbies muffler will give 700-1000rpm extra for about $20 but it sounds like they dont make them anymore so they might be harder to find. Dont quote me on that though.

Well we got her fired up today. Had a bit of a time doing it. I think the fuel line was a little to big and she was sucking air. Going to change to a smaller line and try again after dinner.

Man oh man that motor screams. We put a 10x6 prop on it and it still was throwing a ton of air... Cant wait to put it on the water. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

HD video to come.

Jett Engineering make fantastic engines, carburetors, and mufflers. If you want a mouth dropper, go to their main page and click "BSE Engines" and check out the pricing on it.
