You're really getting her fixed up .  That looked like a piece of pine for the a/c unit, nicely shaped.

Thats exactly what it is. I have some really thin white plastic that I plan on sheeting it with. Easier to paint. I am also putting the cooling grates in the sides to give it some depth.

Well guys, I guess that about wraps this build up.

I want to thank all of you for your comments and suggestions. They were all very helpful.

It has been a blast to build this boat and I have learned a lot along the way.

Really not too sure what is next, but I'm looking at a springer tug and push barge. Just looking right now.

I have a bunch of info on it and its looks like it would be a fun build and a fun boat to run.

I guess we'll see if it pans out.

Again, Thank you to all.

One thing I forgot to mention,
As I get new pictures or video I'll post it here.
I need a couple of new pictures in the post to update the finished boat sitting in the water with all the scale goodies on it.

Springers are cool. You can build one to scale or one for whimsey.. Even one that mixes the two.  I know there is a "regulation" size springer if you want to use it for competition but if not build it how you want it.  What ever you build it will be a thread to watch!

Hey Michael
CA and epoxy will work. If you have a lot of time, Elmers wood glue.

For areas of high stress use the longer cure epoxy, areas like around the stuffing tube.  CA gets the job done for most of the rest.  Re-read Wayne's build for areas to use epoxy for strength.

In case anyone is still watching this forum, while I have been out of work on sick leave I found a reality show on the History Channel called "Big Shrimpin". I have taped two shows and they are pretty good. They sail out of Louisiana.
BTW, I use Comcast and a cable provider.
Check it out.
