Status: offline 		Stuffing box came today. Then I started looking at the keel and noticed that the rudder would have to be built and installed prior to glueing the keel to the formers. So to fix that I cut the bottom of the keel and made a removable shoe like the Midwest lobster boat.
The stuffing box is glued in with Hysol and drying. As soon as thats dry, I'll mix up a little bondo and fill the groove in.

Status: offline 		The rear half of the hull is sheeted. The rear half is glassed inside with 3oz glass and Z-Poxy and the oil/grease tube is installed.

Now on to the front half.

Status: offline 		Before I closed up the hull I added a 1/4" thick block at the bow. This will let me attach the rigging to the net booms.

It would be a good idea to coat all the Luan with thinned epoxy so it will soak in.  The glue used on it is interior grade and therefore not waterproof.  I don't know if you are going to treat the forward part of the hull like you did the aft section or not but when/if you do be sure to cover all of the Luan.  Moisture can seep in just from the air and cause problems so it needs to be sealed.

I'm trying to come up with a few ideas about how to raise the net booms up and down. I'm way out of my league here.
So far I have two,
One is using a sail servo, but I'm not sure if it has enough travel.
Second, I'm thinking about a continious rotation servo with some sort of drum to hold the kevlar line.
Pros and Cons anyone.

Can the servo be stopped at any point by the use of a control stick or knob on the transmitter?
