I emailed Tower a few weeks back asking if they planned to carry the Cap eventually, their only response was that they currently don't carry it.......I figured that much out myself!

That's the standard corporate precanned response. I'm sure they would have said the same thing if you asked if they plan to carry frozen BBQ Chicken.

BTW, I took a look on the BCMMuffler website. The Cap looks good, but BOY I want that 1.20 size Sukhoi BAD!

Not shure if my post went throug the last time so here it goes. Im looking at putting a tower .75 in it for 3d flying and high torque servo's. Yall think this would be a good match? i dont want to put a .46 fx beacuse ive been hearing u guys say it wont do 3d and its underpowered. What fuel tank is in that also and is there room if the fuel tanks to small? If i put a .75 in there im going need a bigger tank.

Yea, I was eyeing that 120 size Sukhoi. I would love to put an RCS 140 in it.

Have you guys read any threads that mentions if the the Suhkoi knife egdes well w/o having the servo in rear for a pull-pull system. Is the Cap @ the BCMuffler site a Pheonix brand?

fpdesignco, there is plenty of room for a larger tank in the plane.

Fatboy, my rudder setup on my Sukhoi is stock and it will knife edge with ease (at the recommended throw, it would drop off slightly however) A little increase in rudder throw and it was fine. And yes, the Cap is a Phoenix.

Ahh it looks very nice on the fly by. I was wondering glowplug, how are the wheel pants staying put? I think I am going to leave mine off because of the grass field I use. Just wondering.

I fly off a grass field and have a couple less than perfect landings and one crash landing and my wheel pants are fine. I was a little worried about the bolt to nut tension being the only thing holding them on but they are fine. I think what makes them so strong is the fact that the axle goes all the way through the wheel pant and supports the outside.

My field is VERY hard on wheel pants, so I just left them off. The field is very bumpy.

My Giles arrived today and it looks great! I'm very happy that I ordered both the Sukhoi and Giles. Not sure which one I will assemble first.

    Nice problem to have

Bisson Mufflers sells them except for the 120 size extra, Phoenix and Black Horse models are the same company.

Black Horse Models will tell you where there is a dealer near you if there isn't one then they will sell you models directly if you e-mail them.

You know... I was looking at the LHS and thought the boxes of the Black Horse Models looked incredibly similar to the boxes that Pheonix models are coming in.

Sounds like these are overseas "generic" models being marketed by these two companies seperately???

Noticed that Black Horse doesn't have the Giles.

Black Horse doesn't have the Giles but they have a nice looking Extra. I feel violated about the Suk. I paid a hundred and twenty five for mine and you guy's are stealing them for the price your paying, but then I picked it up a year ago. I had a heck of a time with mine on landing until I put a bigger battery pack in the nose and a heavy hub to move the c.g. forward. From flying fun fly's and trying 3-D all the time I didn't notice the Sukhoi was tail heavy until I was landing and it would start to porpoise and then just stop flying, guess I'll have to start checking c.g. on my planes again. I had a Tiger Shark 52 in my Sukhoi but now I'm running their 46 or is it a 47, anyway they have a muffler just like the Tower and GMS and I only had to dremmel a tiny bit to make the stock muffler work, and it's red to boot so it doesn't look bad hanging there. I think everyone is missing out on a very powerful engine by not considering the TS. line of engines, jmo, but their newer run of engines seem to be running and holding up very well for the guy's in the club that run them and they get quite a bit of abuse, and Tiger Shark/ Kangke's customer service is second to none if you do have a problem.

Come on guys we need some flight reports letting us know about any possible 3D flying on these birds. I didn't think the control surfaces looked large enough for 3D, but after looking at the Kyosho Sukhoi, they are advertising it as a 3D machine and those planes look almost identical. (Well at least in the pictures).

I'm sure they will spin like crazy, but wondering if they'll have enough rudder authority to maintain a hover.
