Speaking of rims I'm stripping the chrome off my SS rims. Not sure if I want to keep them white to match the body or try dying them orange.

I think orange would look pretty sweet with the white body. if you do happen to go with orange, you have got to post pics!

So you have two different sets of rims with different offset?

Welp, since my esc is fried, i figured i would tear the truck apart and find issues to fix if any. the tranny easily comes out. i was surprised at that. overall everything looks good. a little slop in the rear uprights and rear a-arms, but i dont think there is much to be done about that. also the front and rear center drive cups are showing "dents" or wear from the pins on the dogbones. im trying to figure out something to do with them instead of buying hd diff cups. maybe a little jb weld where the pins hit so its snug inside the cups. cause thats the biggest problem is the play. any ideas?

That would look really good. Would also go with my next body since I plan on going to a blue/orange/white color scheme for my Savage XS wherever possible.

Orange it is! Will probably pick up some Acetone and RIT dye after my night class and at least get the chrome stripped off tonight.

So what kind of orange are we talking about? The General Lee Dodge Charger orange? Cause that is a bright vibrant color. the only downfall to a bright color is it shows dirt easily, but nothing a little warm water wont fix.

Kinda leaning toward a medium orange to try and match the color of the shock caps. Probably would call it a rusty orange that it kinda bright.

Yeah if the chrome wouldn't chip off first run and look like crap I would just dye them orange and have some badass orange/chrome rims!

I'm thinking that my next body will be mostly blue and orange with some white and I'll dye my next set of rims two blue and two orange and have them match or contrast with the body. Kinda want to get some dish rims but not sure how that would look on a savage...

they are the same offset, They fit on the back but they hit on the knuckle on the front. I may have to just put them on the storm.

Dish rims actually dont look that bad on a savage. i had some dish rims on my old .21 nitro with dirt bonz and it looked like a racer.

Either going to get the HPI F5 or some dish rims.

Leaning toward the F5 rims because they aren't too "racey"...

Too bad the offset is wrong and they rub on the front knuckle as they look nice, Maybe a hex hub extension would work?

You could always put a washer in the hex to offset it just be sure to loctite the nut.

I would guess that hub extensions would cost as much as new rims unless you can mock something up.  I think the washer is a good idea.  How much extra offset do you need?

Tower shows XS Flux will be in stock on late march,
it's 28th now and I think they would probably postpone the in stock date ,
does anyone know something about it?
Hope they fix the esc problem in this new batch truck?
Thanx!
