thanks for your information

yes I don't have extra esc or motor to try things out, just forcing myself to believe is just a setup problem

Setup problems don't occur in the middle of a run or after a battery unfortunately. If you've tried rebinding the radio and recallibrating the ESC, something is broken. Can the hobby shop not help you diagnose it?

When you say rebind do you mean just the radio?Have you tryed to recalibarate the esc?I dont have one of these but on my 2350 you had to calibarate the esc so i am presuming you do on these aswell?

yes i did followed the manual. Full throttle and connect battery same time, then wait the ESC LED from green to yellow, then full break until LED yellow again then neutral wait for yellow. This should reset the ESC ?! I did that before and had beep sound, but now no more beep sound and also not working .....

Pretty much all you can do is rebind the radio and calibrate like you did as well as reupload the firmware if you have a link.  The non beeping doesn't sound good since I believe it comes from the ESC oscillating something in the motor.

Foxy - I plan on getting rid of my short course RCs and will have the mamba max pro from those and there isn't another place to put it so I would rather use it in the savage and keep its ESC for a spare.

There is definitely something to be said for putting in something that you are familiar with.  I havn't heard great things about the SV2 ESCs.

Are we confident this is SV2 based?

For those worried about battery size, a soft Venom 11.1 4000mah battery will fit.

Dunno how'd the wires would go though.

I don't think I'm gonna have too much trouble getting my 5000mAh 40c 3s packs to fit. won't be long before I can confirm.

I literally need 1.5mm on either side (I'm 3mm over length), I'm sure I'll be able to find it with a bit of squishing, since the wires represent represent more than 3mm

The base connector universal plug setup on those venom batteries sucks. I use them in my merv and sometimes just hitting a bump or flipping over can cause it to lose connection. I'll never buy another venom product again.

Yes! Get it back and handle it yourself. But you should get help from them to identify which part is faulty. If it is just the ESC, HPI will let you just return that part (saving delivery costs) and should replace it for you immediately. Also, we are all curious what is the problem, motor or ESC.

I would go back and get your Savage. I had issues with the ESC in my Savage Flux HP, I contacted HPI and they gave me a number and told me to send it back in. It took about a week for them to send it back to.
