Well looks like I'll be joining the xs club soon seeing as its now in kit form and i can use my own esc/motor combo with my own radio. I wonder what the price tag will be on this, i would assume much cheaper then the rtr but 200-300 range maybe? (Why i say 2-300 is i got my nitro x ss for 319, i know this was years ago but i can't see this being kit more or less the same of its rtr brother.)

Good find T9.  I would have bought the kit if it was available since without electronics its would be selling the best part of the truck with what looks like cool shocks.  I had mine out for the first time since before christmas tonight and all is well.  I have a new slipper and the HR center cups in it now.

Use the shims that are already there, and move one from the diff cup side and just move it to the ring gear side.

There are extra shims in the parts bag that comes with the truck.

sorry i dont understand. what is the diff cup side? and is the ring gear the bevel gear? on the rear diff which i just took apart has a shim behind the pin that holds the bevel gear in place. the front diff did not have that shim. are you saying i can move that shim somewhere else?

you know what i think is happening. i think when i put the 3 shims on the front diff it made it to where the bevel gear is touching the diff. gonna take out a shim and see what happends. the rear diff with the pre installed shim actually looks pretty good. i can push the bevel gear all the way in and it mesh's good with the diff.
