Possibly but in honesty it was supposition on my part that eventually Gaspar will up grade all his engines to include the externals internally as it where.

Status: online 		once again we share a model I am driving to Paritech tomorrow to collect my SZD 54. I was planning on a P-100 for power, but maybe another VT80 is required.. The problem is that I still have back orders for the VT and can't really take another from stock for me until these are cleared.... The P-100 I have a used one already.
How was the build of the SZD, Especially fitting the turbine and tanks. Can you share some photos please?

You are quite right Mike, I spoke at length to Gaspar at Jetpower and his aim, once the VT80 is proven is to supply all of his turbines in this configuration. It just takes time I guess.

Status: online 		Hello Ali, I would like to share also your great RC flying skills ! building was quick thanks to the very high standards of Paritech and also thanks to my friend Jeff.The installation of the turbine was easy as the engine mount was completely installed by Paritech, all you have to do is to screw the engine, install the fuel pump ,the UAT and the main tank ( I have chosen the stock fuel tank which gives me nearly 7 mns running time).Weight without fuel is 17,5 kgs.

I have an Elan/P80se and was very close to put my VT80 in instead. You will have less thrust of course(compared to a P80), but AUW will probably be 2lbs/1kg lighter with a VT80/less fuel carried.

Just take into consideration that the Elan tends to come out nose heavy, and the VT80 is some 300gr lighter than the P80..


@Ali, any sighting of the "slow boat from China", with my Turbinator on board ?

Status: online 		It's been just over 1 year since I first ran my VT-80 and it was just this past weekend that I logged another 9 flights on the trusty Turbinator. It got me to thinking about how reliable this little unit has been. I am not one to count/ log how many flights a certain model has had, but I think its fair to say the old Turbinator and VT have had a fair old use over this past 13 months. Not once has the turbine ever flamed out, stopped for any reason or missed a start for any reason other than a not fully charged Lipo, and a non opened manual fuel tap.
I have to admit I was a little dubious about a turbine that has so much packed into such a small space. I was also worried because the simplest fault would require the turbine to go back to the factory for work. Now we have sold nearly 20 VT-80's and in all that 20 we have had a faulty fuel pump ( Replaced from stock) and a Faulty GSU ( Replaced from stock ) Other than that we have never had to send a VT back to Spain. We also sell other turbines, and I can tell you that in comparison the VT has been amazingly reliable.
Not the most definitive post I admit, but I felt a little recognition was owed to this cracking little turbine.

Status: offline 		Just to reinforce what Ali said from an ordinary punter, I bought a second hand G90 witch did not run well so I sent it to Gasper for any work that needed doing, he said that it had been run without a FOD screen and needed re-balancing and some other work, within a week this unit was sent back to me FOC yes thats right he did not charge me even for the return postage, he said he knew the turbine from its number and how long it had been run for and it should not have been in that condition, now that is what I call service especially as he knew I bought it second hand, this was over three years ago and it has run without fault since then, amazing little turbine, and highly recommended.
