Status: offline 		A friend gave me a Wanderer with a Duralene fuse. I'm in the process of stripping everything down to recover, but need to know what glue is best for wood to duralene joints. Also, what is the best way to get rid of that joint that runs the length of the fuse?

Status: offline 		Duralene fuselages are pretty hard to get glue to adhere to.The only way to glue the stab to it is use epoxy mixed with microballons and the area on the fuse is drilled with small holes and 60 or less grit sandpaper to give it bite on the stab mount to hold.With shoe goo or Zap a dap goo may also work as they seem to stick to anything.I would test it first on the inside to see how well it holds.The epoxy method is what Bob Martin recommended in the instruction at the time.That was 30 years ago before Zap a Dap a goo.
