Yeah, they are electric. I know YT (here in the UK) are planning to offer electric retracts on their range of esm warbirds

The smaller ones have been doing well hopefully the durability is there in the larger ones. Much easier then all the airline fuss.

oh no, not again, i want it. snag is, not enough space for another 80'' warbird. and that would make it my 4th from the yt stable, La7, P39 and ordered today Ki61. can i justify a fury as well.......

Pretty airplane but those retracts are excruciatingly slow.

You're not kidding! 40 to 70 seconds to retract or extend! Who in the world thought that was acceptable? Those things are totally useless.

Darn, I didn't get to see it all. Fell asleep half way through the retraction cycle.

You just need a 36volt battery to make them go really fast...

i agree thats way to slow, something between 5 and 15 seconds would be ideal for ww2 models. Although i did hear that both the FW190 and Me262 has very slow retraction times, in the order of 180 seconds!

The Sierra Scale retracts are very nice, I don't think you can just drop it in there but it will make the model really nice with a scale double strut.

hi,
has anyone actually got one of these as yet, or at least seen one up close, I am interested in one as well, with a 50cc engine, they havent been released in Australia as yet, but I am a bit worried about the new electric retract system,
I already have the ESM P-47, very happy with it, a very nice model to fly.

There is a version 2 retract that is a reasonable speed.

I was told by ARFpro's that the V2's are supposed to have a 10-12 second retract time if this helps.

Troy built is the only place I know of at the moment that has Version 2's. I belive the V1 comes with plastic wheel and the V2 comes with aluminum.
