Definitely. The more I mess with my CR-01, the more I like it, and can see myself using a CC-01 as a crawler sometimes, and just general tearing around for fun. The Bronco one looks cool. Can't decide if I like the Unimog or not though. Maybe the green in the pics is throwing me.

You should definitely get a CC-01.. it has a very interesting powertrain / suspension layout..

I'm intrigued. I hope it has a really cool shell - did cumquat's site say an Impreza?

Interestingly enough, I am starting to really like the CC-01 chassis lately. Go figure, I still have the F-150 to build.

Belt has its advantage.. no torque steer, for example.. !

quote:

ORIGINAL: cumquat

the one thing i dont like about it is that it's belt drive. i'd prefer shaft but i'm simple like that.

if it doesnt steer itself, it's not wort owning

I've got CV axles to replace on the Hyundai. Replace all wheel studs and lugnuts to better quality ones, and rotate tires (weather pending) hopefully it will be nice cause corners sound like there is crushed metal rolling around lol

My weekend is already half over... ....always seems to go too damn quick.

Going to go to the big electronics shop 'cause my laptop's battery is on it's last leg, that needs to be replaced. Do the weekly shopping, drop daughter off at ballet, pick daughter up, do lunch with the family....then have to swing by a local hotel's ballroom and get a recording studio up and running to prep for a week long convention my company is putting on....then make dinner, feed wife and kids, make sure they all shower and are ready for school on Sunday (not the wife)....oh ya, get their lunch packed up as well....Sorry, did you mean...FUN stuff planned for the weekend? LOL

watched 'in time' on bluray earlier, not a bad movie. it is about as good as i expected. not the kind of movie you want to watch over and over again but definitely doable once every 3 or so months. it requires you to pay attention for the story to make sense at times but not too difficult to follow. definitely keeps you interested for the duration. i'll be watching real steel in a few hours.

Ha!! Yah, that's what I've been doing the past 4 months or so, but my kids keep unplugging it and letting the battery die completely. Now it won't stay on for more than 10 minutes without being plugged in.

Went to the store but they don't have it in stock, 3 or 4 days waiting for it.

Yah LB, not cheap, about 100 bucks converted from local currency .

Senna is a great doco, anyone see TT3D Closer to the Edge? Really good but also sad doco about the TT Isle of Man races. Guy Martin kinda reminds myself of me except I can't ride a motorcycle at break neck speeds.

Speaking of good movies/documentaries, we have watched a couple lately that were just absolutely mind-blowing. The documentary was "Restrepo", kind of hit home to me because I have a friend who saw a tour of duty in the Korengal Valley, but the film itself was incredible. Also check out "Septem8er Tapes", another very good one!

That's a lot of threadlocker!

I finally got the Hobbyking order I placed months ago. I had a few items that were out of stock but there was a servo in there that was just not coming back in stock, so I gave up and cancelled it about 7-10 days ago. I actually got an email last night that the servo was finally in stock, and when I came upstairs today the box was sitting on the kitchen counter. Not sure if it came today or yesterday when I wasn't here.

Too bad I have to work today.

Oh and of course everyone will want to know what I ordered... Just some radio gear. I've lost all my crystals and since I can get an entire cheap HK receiver for the price of a single AM crystal, I figured I'd try their stuff out. Don't have time to plug it in and try everything but I can hear something rattling around inside the TX, so that doesn't bode well...
