What's everyone doing this weekend?!

Fencing class through the park district with my older son - this is week 3, and it's a lot of fun. I'm also really happy with the fact that he REALLY enjoys it. He never liked other stuff we've done in the past (t-ball, soccer, etc), but not like this. It really makes me smile seeing him enjoy it this much. And I get to participate too, so it's a lot of fun waving swords at each other.

Also got our bowling league night on Saturday, that's always fun.

I'm sure I'll have to mix in not-so-fun stuff like yardwork in there too.

RC track?

yeah. not a huge IFMAR spec track or anything but pretty sizable for a manually built backyard track. longest straight is about 50 feet.

That's awesome. Should be a fun spot to mess around on, once you're done!

Ttam - glad you're doing well in bowling. I'm ok - up and down a bit. Some days I'm killing it. Others I just suck.

Our league is only once a month (and non-competitive, except perhaps in the beer category), so it's a lot of fun. But once a month means lack of consistency.

We bowl every Thursday for about half a year and then at the end of the league we get to go to Vegas. You also have a big chance to win money back. Thats the whole reason I joined anyways is the fact we go to Vegas. Then I became a really good bowler because my teammates are crazy.

I'm guessing Ttam is better than me. My average now is about 145 I think. I used to bowl as a kid though, and I think my highest was a 220 or so back then? I have days now though where I'll get a 180, and then a 115 the next game. Like I said, the consistency isn't there. And the beer is. Hmm...

Fencing is a lot of fun. You have the gear on and everything. Was happy to see it offered.

I have only bowled like 5x in my life.. so for sure I am not skilled to say the least.. Ha!

It was fun, though.. the last time was maybe a year ago when a person from work is moving away and we went out and did a team thing...

It is a lot of fun, that's for sure. Plus you get guys that wing the ball in the air down the alley like Fred Flintstone every now and then, and that's entertaining.

they are starting to yank parts from the Group C cars, i just got one!!! gear sets, rims and bodies are discontinued, it almost seems like they are a limited edition collectibles manufacture than a R/C manufacture, at least with traxxas i can still get parts for my 1999 made T-MAXX although they do force you to buy upgrades.

i refuse to run the beautiful C11 body because they no longer make it! (its also half the kit price if you do find one!!!)

they need to settle down, people will buy them even if they are not limited production, if they simply don't have the space for all the machinery they need to up size the size of the warehouse, im sure they can afford it.
