Suddenly I feel like consuming copious amounts of energy drinks, and I'm not sure why.

Must have been nice to have Monday off. Everyone I knew had Monday off, but me. It really sucked.

BTW, the Camry is about to surpass 190k miles. Just got one of the leaks fixed. The oil pan gasket and rear main seal was leaking. I figured I would fix the easiest first. Turns out, the oil pan was the more "leaky" one. I threw some cardboard under the Camry for exactly 24 hours to see how much was still leaking. It's about 2 or 3 drops within 24 hours. Good enough for me. With that little leaking, I figured it would be smarter not to spend the hundreds of dollars to get the rear main fixed. I'd rather buy a quart of oil once a month.

Finally got the Flux XS up and running. Got a new receiver as the antennae ont he original one was so chewed up, you couldn't go 50 ards without it cutting out. Rebuilt the transmission, new slipper pads, gears, etc., also rebuilt the diffs with new bevel gears. She runs like a champ now.
Also, got the LX2e all ready for when the lipos I ordered come in (Gens Ace 2s 5000mah 50c)

Is this your first set of replacement gears for the XS, or...?

Yep, first replacement. Had the truck since September 2011. The gears in the tranny, didn't need to be replaced. They weren't damaged, but I had the money so I figured I would just replace. The diff bevel gears were missing a tooth or two. So those had to be replaced. So since I have owned it, the ony parts I have replaced that were broke, are 3 drive cups, one rear upright, and 2 bevel gears. not too bad.

What battery you running? 2s? 3s? Just curious what kind of power you're putting through it.

I have run 3s for a few weeks, but it was too crazy and uncontrollable. So I have only been running 2s 25c lipo.

Ok, cool, just wondering. The XS is one that I've thought about now and again, and was unsure of the drivetrain durability. Any info is always helpful. I can't imagine 3s on that thing (or any 1/10 really), although folks do it.

3s is pretty insane. I was ripping across a field of short grass at 3/4 throttle. I punched it, and it did a back flip and then just went end over end. It's way too hard to keep the front end down. And you usually don't have enough room to hit full speed anywhere.

The Red Bull cars are beasts. I was playing the 24 hours Curcuit de la sarthe or whatever it is, and I was over 200 laps ahead of the seond place guy. pretty crazy how quick it  is.

i was doing that race when they did a glitched update a while back. i had saved at about 13 hours and when i logged back on, i did the update. the result, all care spontaneously ran out of gas. mind you, i was all ready about 100 laps ahead give or take. so i just did a few more laps, pulled over and let the time run out. i finished with a 30 or so lap lead without that car, i woujldnt have been able to do the 24 hour races. it was aggravating though, i couldnt stand to use it on the 9 hour tskuba because the track is so small and after about an hour the cars were spread out all over the track, so i was constantly ramming into other cars. i switched out to one of my ford gt's (cant remember if it was one of the premium factory cars or one of the racing versions) and had no problems lapping everybody

currently i am level 40 A-spec and level 36 (i think...) B-spec. i'm using the x2010 they gave away when vettel won the championship. still have the coupon thing for the level 35 B-spec version. might cash it in soon, my current one has 15000 miles on it and needs an oil change after every endurance race. engine rebuild didnt seem to help. used to be i could do Indianapolis twice before needing an oil change, now i need one after one run of grand valley (the quickest of the endurance races). not sure if it's the miles or perhaps an update. i know they changed the PP system (my mach 1 used to have 610, now it has 580...), they could have changed oil system too.
