Yeah LB I've never been a huge fan of aluminum on anything that gets a lot of strain put on it. When I bought my mountain bike years ago, I could have gone for an aluminum frame, but I stuck with steel. Glad I did, since over the years I've seen aluminum bikes fall apart while the steel of mine is just barely beginning to rust. At this rate it will still outlive me, and the bike is so dated by now that if I ever start riding hard again, I'll just buy a modern one.

Then you should have bought an aluminum one then.. as it would have been lighter, better performance, and you are gonna get another one either way, so the longevity of the steel frame made no difference..

LOL... yeah.. too bad that was a "true" scratch 'n dent.. unlike the 801XT.. which I think are just Tamiya clearing them out..

I have been thinking lately about picking up a tamiya or two. Had an old TA02 years ago. How do they do with mild brushless systems on average?

Edit: Should add that my old one was powered by NiCads and the old P2K2 Pro hehe Oh and a Duratrax Blast ESC

If you pick one up now, would you want to get something more modern than a TA02?

edit: rcu has a weird pet peeve, it doesnt allow two dashes right next to each other. add two dashes between 'for' and '250'.

Just ordered an Equus 3130 OBD-II scanner.. I used to be able to borrow OBD-II tool from the local auto parts store but they no longer do that.. (weak) So I figured that it is time to get my own..
