I'm purchasing a Voyager E and using an Eclipse 7 Tx with a PCM receiver. I've gotten mixed info from different dealers about servos and batteries.

Should I use standard or mini servos?

Should I look for digital for accurate/ fast response times?

A 7 cell 8.4v battery is recommended from 2000-3000 mah.

What size have people been happy with?

Does anyone recommend NiMh over NiCad?

Thanx for any help!?

The VE is a great heli but...it is a bit overweight. My advice, get the mini's and a set of carbon fiber frames. The frames save a bunch of weight as do the smaller servos. Most of the C/F frames are setup to use the Hitec HS85 servos. I used the HS85's for the head and an HS81 for the tail. This saved a lot of weight and allowed the CG to be set further forward (the VE is also a bit tail heavy). Also, the heli will fly on the stock motor but a brushless setup is really a major improvement.

Hope this helps

Also, as for batteries if you are using the stock motor and esc go for an 3000 or 3300ma 8 cell NiMH. If you go the brushless route then spring for LiPOs and a good charger..you'll be glad you did!!
