Thanks guys!
Still a few things to do to get it running right yet, have to finish off the drag cowl for it aswell.
For a weedy boat I am happy so far with how it goes.

Thanks mate!
Not up to par with your builds, but this is for my 12yr old son.
You can see in the vids she is pushing the nose in, had a lot of angle in the strut.
My fault for not checking and rushing out for a run.
Should be better next time out.
The motor is a 40cc Gilardoni engine from an old 'Jet 400' brushcutter so should have enough torque to spin the modded octura X482 I have here waiting.
only running the stock muffler box as well so could probably get more out of it with a pipe, not sure if the coil is RPM restricted or not.
Its all part of the fun  when playing and modding unknown engines, the manual says its good for 3 HP at 13,000 rpm stock standard.
Once its all done it will get a decent paint job aswell.

It is a cat? Why do you need a turn fin? Have you got a skegged strut?

Hi Chad,
Looking real good for a first boat for your son.
I like the way you put the fly wheel to the front on your engine mod. We here always have the fly wheel facing the back. Your mod allows the engine to be lowered almost to the floor. I think I'll do it your way next time. Thanks for sharing.

Rgds.

Cobus' It just looks like a cat its actually a flatbottom, I dont think 1/4 deep runners makes it a cat?

Latiff, the motor comes that way, with the flywheel/starter opposite the output just like Zen. etc., one of the reasons I grabbed it when I saw it.
Have seen a few more since.
