There is also a few folks I want to thank that are behind the scene.
Jimmy Stewart our club Treasurer and Jim Georgeson our club Secretary and son David met me up at the field Friday to help cut grass so the place would look nice. Thanks guys!!
Tiny "Col" Sanders was our cook Saturday and he did a swell job on the grille. Come lunchtime, we threw down and had some great food!
Tim Batt ran the computer before the race to get us a starting matrix.
Kim the Bullhorn Lady worked our start/finish line.
Also thanks to the several pilots that served as volunteers to work the end judging tents.
Mrs. Peggy ( my name Peggy) Phillip's worked the registration table and collected money throughout the day.
EVERYONES help makes this event a big success!!!
If I've left anyone out, forgive me but you know who you are and thank you!

The last pic is a classic Kodak moment! Thats D3 aka David Phillip's III and it sure reminds me of the image of the cat that ate the canary , LOL

Enjoy guys,...this one is in the record books now.
Later,
John

Moooo #1 was pretty bad just look at what it did to that pylon. And the pylon was just standing there not bothering anyone.

John, sorry you had a COWDASTER. Welcome to the "where did that pylon come from?" club. I've gotten two pylon hits, but they were with electrics.

Can't wait for Nov 19th!

Great Job with the pictures John !! That only shows about 1/3 of how much fun we had. I also want to thank all that helped to make this a very special day, as it takes a lot of work by a lot of people to pull off one of these events.
I also don't think you could have ask for better weather, lite wind, mild temps and blue skys.
Can't wait till Nov 19th !!! may be I can find out where you guys hide your NOS bottle

I can't believe Greg Doe is still flying pylon. I picked him up once at the Addison, TX airport to fly in the NMPRA Championships in the mid '70's. It's good to see that OLD racers never die, they just keep on flying slower airplanes.

Hi Dwayne, thanks for checking in .
Yes indeedy, Greg is still a force to be reckoned with and is one heck of a pilot and I have all the respect for him in the world.
Dont ever underestimate him as he will leave you in the dust and be ahead of you at the end of 10 laps Im glad he was able to come to Birmingham to race.
