The other night I went to look for my hitec spectra pro module. I needed 72 mhz to help a kid with his trainer. Opened up my tool box and couldn't find the thing. I looked and looked, then finally I came to the conclusion that it was gone, so I ordered a new one. Tonight I was out in the garage and noticed the lid of my tool box was just sitting on the stool. The lid has covered trays that I keep little things in.....one item being a strong magnet that I use to find various things that might be dropped in the grass. I just happened to pick up the magnet and heard something fall to the floor. My Spectra Pro module!!!!! ahhha. It was stuck to the bottom of the lid. Perfect!!! So I guess the question is, did this strong magnet damage the module? If not I may sell the one I just bought on eBay. If so then I will leave the magnet out of my tool box. Any thoughts, radio gurus?

The fall to the floor was probably harder on it than your magnet..

Is it a 72 MHz? then ferrite cores may be used in the high frequency circuits and if they are magnetized they may change
in inductive permeability and then the receiver is out of tune. Just a theory though , maybe the shock theory is the more
plausible one, did you check your xtal?

It is very unlikely that the magnet did any damage, the fall may have.
