I put the munching deer as my background. Wish the pixelation wasn't so bad....Anyway, got several chuckles out of it from my coworkers, especially during this time of brass renderings at my office. Truly laffable stuff

The recipe Jody gave works fine with any amount of petrol. I know that you know this but for the other readers, stated another way:

Petrol volume you have on hand divided by the ratio you want to run, gives the volume of oil needed to be added to achieve the ratio.

Ex- Petrol / ratio = oil.......lets say you have 2.5 gallons and want to run 32:1 oil mix.....2.5(128) / 32 = 10.0 ozs;

Some oil is packaged in 12.8 oz bottles intended to be used in 5 gallons, to produce a 50:1 ratio

No one remembers Steen-C, the first? synthetic to hit the 2-stroke racing circuit in the 60's? And man did the Castro R smell good but was a real plug fouler! And what about the good ol' Cheveron white pump premium gas.....

I remember Steen-C. Used to run it in my go cart with twin Power Products engines. Also used "Sunoco" white gas. I didn't know Cheveron had it.

Chevron was a prominent Standard Oil Company of California brand back in the 70's

And their white pump was super high (leaded!) octane gas, not white gas. Racers had to have it. It's understandable that they did not have Chevron stations in Africa though....

Oh yeah, and the Blendzall castor smell had them all beat. You would definitely get high if you got stuck behind someone running that. I think it had an additive that would allow some methanol to be mixed with the gas and remain homogenous. You guys that mix methanol with the gas, how are you keeping them from separating?

I know what Chevron is, just not ChevEron...

Anyway to keep methanol in phase with Gasoline mix in a dash of ethanol.

Alternatively, keep the Methanol % below 1.6% or very high around 85%
For anything in the middle a 1:4 parts mix EthOH to MeOH works.

No need to remind you characters of the toxicity of methanol and the age old don't try this at home disclaimer.

Not sure why you want methanol in there anyway. It reduces BTU so you need to richen up the mixture to compensate for power. Fuel economy goes out the window as well. Only advatage is octane but our model airplane engine don't rev no have a high enough compression ratio to exploit the octane so tell me why, oh tell me why

Just divide the gas quantity on hand by the ratio. Imperial or U.S. measure doesn't matter as long as you maintain consistent volume types. Imperial may use cc's instead of oz. A simple kitchen measuring cup is usually accurate enough to handle the oil quantity measurement after that. I'll suggest not using your wife's favorite cooking tools though.

I just use my own calculator program I wrote when I was bored at work. :P Allows me way more flexibility in calculation options over all the gas/oil calcs I've found online. Maybe I'll have to share it with people... O.o

40:1
How much you want /41 give you the other part.

want 5L at 40:1

5L/41= 0.121
or 121ml of oil

now don't forget to take 121ml from 5L or you will end up wit 5.121L....

darn it even works in US measures, what do you know....
