Status: offline 		I am building a Sig Tri-Star and want to make it electric. The plans call for either a .15 sized glow or an .05 brushed. I am going to use brushless and don't know what set-up to go with. I am building it stronger with additional spars in the wing and other strength additions where I thought it needed so I can try and get some decent speeds out of it. What set-ups would you recommend. I plan on running a 3s 2200 Mah battery.

Status: offline 		Using the standard rule of thumb.. watts = cubic inches x 2000... that suggests ~300W... of course you'll probably be able to use a larger diameter prop than you could have run on the .15.

That's about right for an 05 brushed electric too... they could cope with 25A-30A on 10-cells.

Status: offline 		How did the Tri-Star turn out? I have one, minus the wing. I am in the process of getting the plans
so I can send them to Flying Foam and have foam cores made.

Status: offline 		Sure, that would be great. How about any parts? Engine cowl? I imagine that it would be
difficult to determine the CG of a plane with a wept wing like the Tri-Star.
