Status: offline 		Let me start by apologizing. I imagine that this question has been asked a few hundred times, but I'm on the road away from my computer today and I need this info ASAP.

I came to have possession of a 3D foamy similar to the ones from E-Foamy and other companies. The aircraft needs some TLC as it has some tears. I understand that the best glue is Welders Contact Cement, but for some reason, none of the hardware stores in this area stocks it. Could anybody please provide suitable substitutions for the contact cement? We have an event coming up this weekend and I would like to bring the plane to the event. Of course, this timeline negates online ordering.

i bought my welders glue at Lowes.....

Status: offline 		Great, but there is no Lowes out here for at least a 50 mile radius. And that is barely doable during the work week.

I'm looking for options other than Welders.

just giving you options as to what works best.

not posted by me, but this was posted in your thread on the other site..

Theres is no substitute for Welders, maybe UHU Por, but I prefer Welders. Loews will be the only local store to carry it.
I assume you aircraft is EPP?

I'm sure you can find a substitute... but why not use the proper stuff so the airframe works they way it is designed?

Status: offline 		I would like to, but the curret timeline negates that option. As soon as I get my hands on the stuff I will use it. In the meanwhile I am looking for other options. If there is none, then so be it.

Try the new and improved Foam-Tac good for everything on foam airplanes, assembly, motor mounts, hinges etc etc one glue does it all. Low odor so you can build without stinking up your shop, dries fast stay flexible won't yellow you can paint it and a 2 oz bottle is enough to build about 4 medium sized foamies. Awesome glue.

Status: offline 		I use RC56 Canopy glue on all of my EPP and depron foamies. I have used everything from Welders to epoxy to hot glue. I use it to glue plastic hinges into depron and EPP. I don't use CA hinges anymore on my smaller planes because the ca hinge becomes too stiff for such small applications. I either use pinned hinges or clear tape.
