Someone in our club built a home-made cradle for a Telemaster. Last time I saw it fly was a few years ago (don't even know if he still has it?) He used rubber bands to secure the gliger at its root to the cradle. The release mechanism was that the rubber bands were secured at the LE through a fixed loop and pin. The in was greased and retractable by a servo servo mounted on the cradle itself, so all that had to be done was plug in the servo to its extension inside the Telemaster.

All I saw was 2M stuff flown off, but if the Telemaster's gear is stout enough he could have flown up bigger ships.

Here is a link I just found that has some pictures. Ed's wasn't as tall as this one, but similar in construction:

Has anyone ever tried using the metal high start hook as the hook that would be caught on the release pin in a slot on the cradle .A servo could pull the release pin and the glider would release. The glider would be slide in the slot then the servo would close the release pin .The glider would be held until release? If anyone can comprehend this I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks Dennis (Thanks for the input Bruce)
