The Georgetown race is in the books. There were 13 pilots and three dummies to round out a 4 X 4 matrix. The dummies managed to finish the race without a scratch.

Here is how it all came out after 3 rounds and A, B & C Mains

Place pilot best time
1 Steve Fabianke 1:31 *
2 Gary Fisher 1:32
3 Fred French 1:33
4 Jeff Large 1:45
5 Jim McGuinn 1:46
6 Steve Blackwell 1:53
7 Richard Moll 1:58
8 Blake Feagin 1:56
9 Danny Fulmer 2:07
10 Bob Petrinec 1:46
11 Kin Hopson DNF
12 Stephen Bird DNF
13 George Gilliam DNF

* = fastest time of the day.

In the first round Ken Hopson and Stephen Bird tried to occupy the same space at the same time. That didn’t work. And George Gilliam had engine problems so he volunteered to be a lap counted.

Now let it rain here in central Texas.

Bob

Great race Bob!

I suspect the 40+ MPH winds kept the numbers down but made it an exciting day of racing. Hats off to you and your crew for putting on another great race.

And congratulations to Blake Fagan for surviving his first race, he just started flying this summer.

On another note if anyone found a black pocket knife please contact me 254-744-6781 or Richard Moll

Jim

Damn Bob, that's the best picture I have seen in a while. Who's the goodlooking guy on the right?

That was one of the craziest races in a while.

Thanks to you and all of the volunteers for putting the race on.

I tried to send all the picture, but RCU rejected them because the file size was too large. so I sent only the best picture.
