Look up HDPE containers on the net.The problem is that it costs $15. to ship a  $ 3.00 container.

Or... Go to the Dollar store and pay $2.00 for a half gallon of draino. Pour it down your sinks and use the bottle in your flight box.

Use a container that does not let light shine through

Great Planes sells a 1/2 gallon container part#GPMP4150 it is $3.49
Also a Laundry detergent container will also hold up to the fuel. You may want to use the laundry detergent first although bubbles coming out of the exhaust would be cool also.

ANY CONTAINER MADE OF HDPE PLASTIC WILL WORK. OTHER PLASTICS MAY MELT OR LEAK. METAL CANS ARE THE BEST THOUGH.

Yup.. those work very well, especially for pit box containers. Drill a couple holes in the cap, and use some through-the-firewall fittings such as those Central Hobbies sells, and a filter. I imagine the gallon sized containers would work well for fuel storage, too.

What ever you do.... DO NOT USE AN ALUMINUM container. Don't ask me how I know . Some how the nitro or methanol reacts with the aluminum. The reacted fuel puts a coating on the glow plug and the plug is ruined in one flight.

Methanol is very mildly acidic. Eventually it will corrode aluminum.

I've used pure Methanol in a lab environment to dissolve finely milled aluminum dust into solution for molecular level laser deposition/fusing to other materials.

I like steel containers. Either quart or gallon.  Good seals, less permeable than plastic, and doesn't let light in.  Also fittings can be soldered on easily to the cap. ( I don't practise what I preach, I just use a one quart plastic oil container that is black with a clear slot in the side to see how full it is.)  I  can see this is an old thread that is has been resurrected, but it reminded me to make up a new container over the winter.
