I did a template of each CA parts and my own plan in case of unforseen landing...
I ordered a MK bellcrank to central hobbies and I am gonna complete that kit during my chrismas holidays.

Great work, I'm very curious how your plane will balance with the MK bellcrank, and the servo's up front.

Hi guys
1) Is there someone who knows what to do with the bigger (12mm) wood pin include in the kit?

2) I am ready to install the stab in the fuse tail. Did you put some fiberglass to join the stab or only epoxy? It will be very tuff to put fiberglass cause i have very limited space to work...

Hey, hey, hey...
Yes it's possible to balance the 24% CA Extra300L!! I have put all the harware required to fly that plane except the wheels and CF rods and my CG was 1'' forward to the wing tube with the ignition pack install to the firewall. Imagine, a 24%Extra nose heavy!!

I move back the 1650mamph ignition pack and bang, the CG is right on the wing tube! After that, i decided to move back the servos by 1/2 '' and now, i have a CG window 1/2'' afterforward or forward CG by moving the rx pack. I have 10'' between rx and ignition pack.

As you know used a MK bellcrank with CF rods.

Daniel,

great job!! how's your weight coming out? keep in mind that most of your covering will end up behind the cg. should't be much more than 6 oz's but the long fuse places much of that weight a great distance from the cg. You may just have perfect combination! way to go.

I haven't weighted my plane yet. I need to find a digital scale...
I could install a long tune pipe under the fuse to get more RPM and 16 lbs thrust (18x8 prop at 8200RPM). That muffler would add at least 1/4 pound and i would be around 11.5 lbs wich is a lot for only 890 sqin area.

I think i am going to replace my 12oz tank by 10oz. It should give me around 12 to 15 minutes of flying time for less weight.

Kevin, I think you have an RCS140? Do you remember how long you can fly with your 10 oz tank?

great job scou...i have also modified the 24 slighly. Originally, I had cut off the engine box by abt 3 inches as I was using a saito 180..and did not need the box...Now I have restored that box and I feel the CG situation will improve. Once I finish it, I will let you know.

Usually i paint my cowl but this time i decided to put monokote, cause i have 4 differents colors!

It seems so easy in the books!! I think the ultracote stretch easier than monokote?
