Yes, if you only post in the Fast Reply box down at the bottom, there is no link for putting in photos. But if you 'Reply' to someone's message or edit the message that you just posted from the Fast Reply box, there will magicallyl appear some links that will let you upload.

Let us know if this works out for you,

Bob

Cubman, Put me down for #120! Thanks to Anthony's build thread and your website I built my first airplane, now I am hooked!

This was from a 30 year old Sig kit that was given to me.

Pictures attached, that green grass sure looks good.

Thanks, Roger

Roger,
You did fine job especially for your 1st build. The Sig kit is not and easy plane to build for the beginner. Enjoy the lifelong obsession
Later!!

Nice plane Dreamweaver
Could u pl. take a pic of how the wing struts are attached to the wing.

Can others also chime in on how u do that. I know that Cubman has a pic of it but is too detailed for me. I just need someting that works.

Thanks

I'm currently building a 1/4 Super Cub ( PA-18) from Ken Runestrand plans. By far the worst set of plans I have ever built from. I've gotten through most of the missing information and wrong drawings, but still need a bit more.

No where on the plans does he give a dihedrial spec. Could one of you guys with a BUSA or Sig 1/4 scale cub check your plans and let me know. I'm thinking it won't make a whole lot of difference as long as it's close.

I would put in 2 deg of dihedral. If I remember right that is what the Sig plans call for. It has been a number of years though

Guys, I am trying to work the covering in the vertical stab and fuse. I cannot get it to look right, that is to me. This is what I have come up with. Any thoughts or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lowbubba ...it looks like you are on the right track. If that is koverall and dope you are using.I would sand the tip end of the filler just above the horizontal stab so it blends in a little better.Have you ever covered the south end of a cub before?

One comment. There is a part were you DO NOT want the covering to stick to the wood (base of vertical stab and fuse corner. What I do is color the area w/a yellow (or white) Crayon. The solartex covering will not stick, allowing you to get a nice fairing on the covering in that area.

Guys,
Thank you very much with the info. I think between the link and the crayon idea is great. I just have to figure out where the grandkid stashes them, besides the vacuum sweeper. Thanks for your help.

Some interior pictures of our full scale Cub back in 2006. This very same J-3 was totally rebuilt to new condition in 2010 by the new owner. If you ever wanted to see a J-3 Cub completely torn down and rebuilt to like new condition you can see the tear down and rebuild pictures at this web site. It now has a 90 hp engine. My son & I wish we had it back now!!!!!!!!!!! I have been invited to go fly in it by the new owner. It is just a couple hour drive from OKC.

Just Google: www.txaeroaircraftservices.com/html/n42110.html
