Made my donation also. Thanks for everything you do for us CubMan.

Too late in the season for any float-flying here in Southwest Michigan, so removed the floats and put the landing gear back on. H-9 Cub, stripped and recovered with Solartex and painted with Rattle-Can Rustoleum.

Power is a DLE-30 with a Dave Patrick Cowl via Fiberglass Specialties. Hoping for a maiden sometime this fall.

While we were hoping for more, had a quasi "Cub" gathering here in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area this past Sunday, Sept. 30. I'm on the far left. My two cubs are the two closest to the camera. Both H-9's.

The "Army" J-3 has a DLE-20, while the blue/organge one (Frankencub) sports a DLE-30. Both fly very well. Had all four of the ones you see up at the same time. Here's video of three of the four landing. My son was flying the Army cub, I was flying Frankencub.

Apologies, having a hard-time selecting Cub photos this morning. The one on the left above is from the same fun-fly. I'll try again.

OK, since I am building my second cub, (SIG CW) of my lifetime, I would like to sign up for the cub brotherhood.  My first cub was a CW in 1/5th scale and now I am building the 1/4 scale.  Hope to finish it this winter.

For those that have joined since my last visit Welcome.
Planejaw nice colors. Should stand out in the air real well. I don't know why but I really like the look of a cub with floats.
Stan, one word PHOTO'S.
Later!

Hey guys my site is over to the new server, I feel that it loads faster. Could some of you check and see if it is working for you. a little scared as the stats show that it has not been accessed. Also I can now add a form section thoughts. I know we already have a bunch of forms. Going to open a calendar for posting fly-ins

Okay, finally getting caught up after a long stretch of OT.

Well Cub Man, it loads... FREAKIN' FAST!    Well, at least faster than before.

Charles, it's been a while since we've conversed.  The last time we talked about the 1/4 instrument panel.  Have you had a chance to build any yet?  With all my OT I'm finally ready to get a few odds and ends, the panel, bungee covers, etc.  Let me know what's happening.

Thanks,
David

Do you have room for another member? I live in the land where Cubs rule the skies. I picked up a mostly built CG Anniversary Cub from the estate of a fellow club member, and will soon start the finishing process. He had started to add droop tips to the wings, but I want to clip the wings. I have several engines that should work, but I'm leaning toward the PAW .40 diesel. It swings a 12 x 6 MAS at around 9,500, and should give scale-like flight.

I, too, am finishing up a CG Anniversary Cub. I find the instruction manual to be very skimpy on the connections between fuel tank and engine. Should the tank just sit on top of the shrouded battery and receiver, or have you found a way to secure the tank to the fuselage?
The radio system I got with the unfinished kit has Futaba servos, receiver and transmitter operating on 72.630 AM. Can I fly the plane with them?
Bob

RDJeff I have never ran a diesel. It should fly it fine. I have the goldburg on a os 60 FP with a 12 inch prop and just about get it to hang on the prop

rmpRmP I have my tank wrapped in 1/4 foam and wired to the plate just under the instrument panel. I have had no issues with it. Yes 72 is still used alot. I would recommend in replacing the battery's and doing a good range check before you fly it.

I have a Sig Clipped wing 1/4 scale Cub kit that I will be starting soon. Any tips on making it a full 1/4 scale Cub? Is it just a matter of extending the spars and adding a few ribs to achieve the full 110" or so wingspan?

Thanks

Rafeek

Question, does anyone know the distance from the bottom of the door to the floor on the full scale (100%) Cub?  I can do the math for the !/4 scale.

Hey Cub Man, can I order a 1/4 scale instrument panel for my Cub yet?  Last thing I recall was you were working on one to get pictures.

Thanks,
David
