good to see you at it again. She will be done very soon now.

I came across some pictures that were sent to me of a Tipo 40 that was made and sold by WK Hobbies - the original maker of the Tipo 60 glass fuses. The pictures are from a fellow modeller who had a kit and built it. He actually started a thread here on RCU but I have been unable to locate it. The specs of the glass/foam model are very similar to my reduced scale T40. You can see that the rudder and elevators on the WK is slightly different from the reduced T40.

I thought you might enjoy seeing them. The model was finished in paint throughout.

Hi David! Iwas on vacations and traveled to USA… and got some stuff from TowerHobbies!

Nice model and finishing… the stab´s wing tip isn´t the same. I´d like to know which is it´s

weight.

Now my problem is that I´ve to apply clear urethane to the fuse and do not have air compressor!!!!The one that I used from my father in law is 200 miles away!!!

So I can apply Monokote but not the finishing coat… I´ll see.

We're you able to look into SprayMax availability in BA?

You could have stuffed 2-3 cans in your luggage when in the US but I guess it doesn't help much to mention it now.

Find yourself a buddy at your flying club who paints... Or just take the fuse to an auto painter and have them shoot it.

If you have the patience to cover your wells more power to you, otherwise I recommend flat black paint. You could use something like Rustoleum or the like. Enamel is preferable to lacquer here as it flows on with a little smoothness.

Looks like she'll be ready for the fall!

How will it look from the top...?

BTW, it is probably an optical illusion but it looks like the main gear is ahead of the CG. I'm sure you installed it per plans.

Not inline, just aft. If you put her on her legs and pull the tail down to the ground, dry, it should stay there. Of course, it should also sit on all three's if just put down. When wet, she'll definitely pop back on to the nose gear if you pull the tail down.

The idea is that you can "flare" her on to the mains as she lands and will drop on to the nose gear even when she's empty.
