After had built and enjoyed flying the Alouette II for PHT2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1Tka400hXc&feature=related, I have decided to build my second jet engine Heli and chosen the UH-1D. At first after having a discussion with Vario personnel about a defect in my Gas engine powered Alouette II - (see this post for problem details http://www.scalerchelis.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13228), I was inclined to sell the recently purchased UH-1D model, but after unpacking the model package I was seriously tempted and challenged to build it so I said give them a second chance.

This will be my third Vario model, so far fully satisfied with the Alouette II for PHT2 and Completely unsatisfied with Gas Powered Alouette II, which leave us with a 50% of a satisfaction factor. If the UH-1D goes the same way as the Alouette II for PHT2 this will raise the satisfaction factor to 67%.

So far I am enjoying building it, but the manual is useless you have to guess many things and use your sense of engineering to get things done. But as a general rule German products do not have good manuals, even the engineering drawings are kept to lowest minimum of quality and clarity. I hope they take this as a constructive criticism.

Some photos of the construction are below, I am still having doubts about the colors.
