    Charley,

Will one of you guys with the new 1.6 please post the part #on the 9mm Walbro carb?

My MVVS1.6 red head came with 9mm walbro #339 carb. Check that link for your parts:

    Aresti,
if you can keep your bird under 11lbs you will be satisfied with the MVVS1.6. 12oz tank would give you around 15 minutes flying time at full throtle.

    Charley,
Which parts do you need? I may have some. I have a collection of odd bits.

    Aresti,
Why do you waste your time with Morris hobbies when you have Pé Reivers available to sell you all the MVVS stuff that you want?

Morris sell MVVS parts more expensive than any other hobby shop and you will never see him giving technical support or comments on RCU like Pé Reivers and recently, David Moen?

Anyway, you do what you want.

    Hi all,
I just started to break-in my new 160 GFS redhead.
Very easy to start and already tops at 9100+ on a Master 16/8 with the MVVS pipe,95 gas with 3% motul 600 oil.
    I am going to use a 18/8 further-on
    2 questions:
    - what length of tubing should be used between the exhaust tube and the pipe (the original silicone burst within the first 20 min), I'll try teflon as advised by Topmodel
    - When the engine is warmed up, there is some play in the bearings : you can feel it and heare it if you pull alternatively on each prop tip. There is no play when cold. Is this functional play or should I send the engine back ?

Morris Hobbies is in Texas and they are the US MVVS importer, they should have this part.

Morris Hobbies is the last place I'd go to buy a Walbro carb. Bob Kosar seems to think everything he has for sale is made of platinum. ;^)
Besides, if I buy from a TX business, I have to pay both sales tax and shipping charges. UPS is outrageous for intrastate shipping these days.

I just encountered a new problem with my MVVS 1.6. I have flown this engine in a 1/4 scale Edge 540 for about a year now, and all of a sudden I am getting RF noise so bad that I can't fly the plane. The servos go nuts when I turn on the ignition. I have replaced the switch harness & spark plug. All the wiring looks fine. I am down to the fact that I believe the ignition module has gone bad.

Where can I buy a new ignition module for this engine?

    Thanks, Rick

Anybody experienced this problem? Do you think it is a loose front bearing case? I do not dare do fire it up again until I sot it out.
the engine has less than 1 hour run time
    thanks for advice

MVVS gasser don't need tubing between muffler and carb like glow engines! The Walbro carb has a pomp to suck the fuel to the carb.
