    Status: offline     		No mate, I haven't, I can't say I'm a fan, sorry. I can say that I would find a way to ditch the 2 speed in any nitro monster truck. Instead I would find a gear ratio somewhere between first and second gear and put a better higher revving engine in. But then I wouldn't do that, cos I think electric monster trucks are the way these days. Check out the new electric Thunder Tiger, it's just amazing. If I didn't already have a savage flux, I would get one in a heartbeat...

    Status: offline     		i have already modified the gsr ive ditched the crap corsa 5.0 and installed a high revving sh .28 loads of power pulls wheelies once i touch the throttle also changed the plastic tuned pipe to a tsais side pipe black chrome finished with a set of black chrome wheels on proline big joe tires i would love to get a savage flux my wife might get me one for xmas with a bit of luck

    Status: offline     		do you have a good tune on it?  I have the GST (same truck basically) with an OS.30 in it and if the tune isn't perfect it wont switch gears. The cen trucks are all in the tuning.

    Or your clutch shoes could be worn down just enough to not let it switch gears.

    Or you might have a cracked clutch shoe inside the clutch bell on the tranny. Pull off the cb on the tranny and look at the clutch shoes.

    Has the truck switched gears sense you put the sh.28 in it?


    What kind of temp gun are you using? I'm using a piece of crap and its like 30 to 40 degrees off so i have to lean out the top end.  Try leaning out the top end a 1/4 turn to raise the rpms and see if it changes gears and if it don't let me know. I'm a master with my gst now after all the breaking and fixing.

    Status: offline     		Yeah the Cen Trucks are basically the same , in term of the GSR5.0 and the GST, and Genesis LE, On your GSR5.0 there not bad to adjust, first of all take the body off, and turn the truck up on the driver side wheels so they don't turn, now on the side of the tranny is a cap that screws off, screw it off, now you my need a little flashlight, but look down into the hole, and what you are looking for is a clutch with 2 screw holes, if you can't see them in the hole, when keep the truck up on it's side and hold the spur gears with on hand and push the truck backward until you see the screw holes, now they take a allen, so once you find the size tighten each screw down all the way until they just start to get smug! do not! tighten them down, you could crush the springs, just snug them, and after you've snugged them back them off excactly 6 turns counter clockwise, and that should take care of your problem, you may need to adjust them , for faster and sooner shifting loosen the screws one 1 each counterclockwise, or to make them take just a little longer to shift tighten the screws clockwise, but make sure when you adjust these screws that their done equally.   Hope this helps ya out!

    Status: offline     		thanks guys. im also using a piece of crap for a temp gun. i removed the 2 speed off the truck and removed the clutch shoes they are like new. for some reason it did'nt change gear when i installed the sh.28 even after brake in and a good tune on the engine it pulled wheelies but no gear change. hopefully it will now after adjusting the clutch ill let you know how i get on
