Hello LensRC,

I just wanted to clarify that the Jefferson City, Missouri, event is being held on Saturday, September 13. It would appear from your post that the Kansas City event is being held the following weekend. That's great! I'd hate to see a conflict in the first of these events. I hope to be able to attend your event as well if time allows. I see further information is available in the .PDF flyer you have available on your site.

For those interested in information about the Jeff City event, I invite you to check out the information by clicking on this link;

Thanks!

This event started good except for there was no controls over the radios. But then after someone said they were getting hit it was limited to 3 flyer's. I came up to fly not wait. At that time I saw people starting to pack up. I should have.

They also allowed a kid that would get in the middle of the flying area. I will assume they SAFETY was not important. I hope this was not a AMA event.

This event had no control. I will give it 3 stars for the first few hours and no stars after that. This event is one event to skip next year.

I believe you are talking about my event.Well, number one, controlling the numbers of flyers is CONTROL! It WAS for saftey. The kid you are refering to was FLYING an AMA cub, they dont taxi to well.We had a flight line, for saftey. It was'nt just "someone" getting hit it was several someones. This was a metal building. It sounds like you hav'nt flown indoors with a large group,or you would have expected the possibility of radio problems. The only fix for RF saturation is to limit the number of flyers in the air. I feel that most of the flyers that attended this event were grown ups and did'nt need a saftey nazi confiscating there radios. I personally dont like it,I've had problems with switches being changed in the impound before. We had freq pins, did you fly without one? If so you were the unsafe one.I dont understand where you get "no control" from. We will be having more events, and will have the nessasary level of control we feel is needed. If you dont want to attend,so be it. I have a feeling that your post is really a stab at me for how I feel about the Taylor event. I hope you really feel that my event sucked and are'nt low enough to post a reply like this just because of how I felt about another event.

This had nothing to do with the Taylor event. Everyone but you had a great time. Your a nice guy but, I was referring to the young guy that was walking around his airplane in the middle of the floor performing !QUOT!hanging on the prop!QUOT!! You know where everyone was flying. Thats a major safety issue.

Hum ......................... If he was getting radio hits then he could not perform this.

I only know 2 people getting hits. I know I was not nor was Mud Duck. I did not know to many of the other flyer's except for one that did not fly. Now maybe I know why. I will have to ask him.

If everyone has good working radio gear you should not get hit. Impounding radio's is not a Nazi thing, it is the right thing to do. That is why it is done.

So who had the radio that was shooting out a wide band? You do not know due to you did not impound the radio's. That is why you have an impound. Its not to be a control Nazi. Maybe you get it now. Maybe if someone got hit then you would get it. Safety must come first.

We are going forward in locating a building down here. I always take my children to events and yours us unsafe. It is just that simple. Its not to be mean it is just the facts.

I had one crash at my feet. Radio? or Thumbs? well it is easy to say radio problems. My wife and kids left after that. You need to have good flying skills to fly indoors. No I will not be back up there at the indoor events until the safety of the invent is corrected.

No one wants me there? Wow, Then I will have to go to one of the others. There are many fun fly events to go to so it is not my lost.

On your no landing fees? Shoot, That is the cheapest part of a fun fly event. Give everyone a break on that one. Like I said, First few hours it was fun, the rest was not.

I hope you get a plastic or wooden building, becase if you get a steel or steel reinforced building you will soon learn what happened at this event. It happens at our regular venue,it happened at the jeff city event some.It is called "RF saturation". Has nothing to do with "wide band". A few of the lowest channels would not work with even one other channels on.Single conversion recievers cannot filter out the amount of radio signal that accumulates in a shielded enviorment. The dual conversion rx's had no problem, but there were only a few of them there. And, yes if you have a problem with limiting numbers to get a handle on this problem, dont come back. You WILL encounter this problem if you attend many indoor venues and use single conversion rx's.I have flown in four different venues now,and it has occured in ALL of them.Ask around if you dont believe me.That kid flying the 3D was all grown up and if he wanted to risk getting his noggin bonked to show off his talent,so be it.Mayby next time I'll stop everyone else so he can do it by himself, for saftey.

In JC there was some rf issues for sure. But no one got "hit". No one got struck out of the sky. and there were 5+ in the air. No one crashed into the walls, Except for 2 that flew into the net. Now that was cool.

If you do not check the radio's at your event you can not say it "Has nothing to do with "wide band". A few of the lowest channels would not work with even one other channels on" You do not know if all the radio's were off.

No I do not think I will travel for another of your in-door events. I may come up to some KC out door events. All the one's I have attended were performed with in the AMA guidelines.

I think the JC web site will have some video up soon. They post events that they attend. Then everyone that did not attend will see why I am concerned.

Have a great day
