I think I'm running the DTX replacements in car #2 on the front.  I haven't had a green one fail yet, but I run a LOT less than you.  The red ones from Acer are also holding up great.  The Acer 10 x 15's on the diff are taking the beating with no complaints.

We'll find out, basher.  I ordered some DTX replacement bearings. Got shipped yesterday. Those "green seal" bearing we've been getting from Ace haven't been holding up as well as I thought they would. Especially those big 11x15mm ones in the tranny, which, you'd think being inside something AND sealed, would hold up longer. We'll see how the DTX replacements do. I gotta go get some tire glue, forgot to order that.....

According to my exploded view that came with my evader EXT2 it has a 5 x10 for the idler and top gear.  I've replaced both with better quality bearings and the 5 x10 fits both perfectly.

quote:

ORIGINAL: rclugnut10

the idler on the EXT runs a 5x11, the ST runs a 5x10, but both run the 5x10 in the top gear....

this has all the manuals/exploded views with parts and such for all the evaders....

my bad i must be thinking of a different gear, maybe the traxxas idler is a 5x11 bearing...

sorry

Ahhhh. I'm glad to be homeschooled. I'm all done with school for the rest of the day. Er wait... I still have World History. Dang it! So what's everyone's and for the weekend? I'm staying home to watch playoffs. I'm routing for Ravens and Atlanta! Patriots have been to too many Super Bowls.

Ah yes, Sunday SUNDAY!  49ers vs Seahawks.  We're rooting for the 9ers.   Tell mom you need to work on your spelling.

EGbasher, next time you open the tranny for greasing, take the 10x15 bearings out, put one on yer pinky finger and see if it still spins freely.  Mine would feel smooth, but there'd be resistance to the rotation. Like the thing was gummed-up. You couldn't spin it with your finger and have it continue spinning, like a new bearing.  I had some older metal-shielded 10x15s, 5x10s and the odd-size front ones that I was able to get spinning freely.  Even taking out the green seal and cleaning the innards didn't seem to resurect the green seal bearings. Indeed, I had at least one of them fall apart! (I don't know the brand on these, I just get 'em from the LHS)  Maybe I'll try Boca or Acer next time.

I may need help on spelling. (Not really...cough...cough) But you need help also for starters, I suggest you look into ESPN's NFL game schedule, because the 49ers aren't playing the Seahawks this Sunday. They are actually playing the Falcons. Ha!

That's exactly what I did and they spun nice.  Almost like new.  I think the Acer's have a better sealing system than the green ones from your LHS.

As for the Niner's...We just wish they were playing the Seahawks so we could exact some revenge at home for the emabarrasment at Seattle in game 15.  But I'm looking forward to watching Kapernick no matter where he plays.  GO SF.

Just getting you back after you ripped at me for thinking I needed to exercise more.  So what is on everyone's weekend agenda?

I'm staying home, and watching the Post Conference playoffs!

Well, ya may have to wait another week, unless EGbasher gets industrious and posts some himself. We were going to download them from his camera to my laptop, but it was getting late, and downloading many dozens of pics and video from his camera could take hours.  So, he took 'em home to weed out the junk shots, and will bring up the good ones next time he comes up.

Dang it!  Well, though I'm behind the actual time, (I'm watching the NFL game on DVR) so far the Falcons are up 3 points to the 49ers. The 9ers just got the ball back after sacking Ryan, so now Atlanta is gonna have to beef up their defence. I'm rooting for both teams. You ever notice how Keapernick's passes are always a perfect spiral? I like him and Gore. Then as for the Falcons, I'd like to see them make it to the SUPERBOWL. They always run a great record in the regular season, but once in the playoffs, it's downhill.

And the 49ers win! Kaepernick, the rookie QB is going to SUPERBOWL XLVII! Harbaugh vs Harbaugh. I am now rooting for the Ravens. Go Flacco! I'm glad the Patriots lost though, they've been to too many Superbowls. I realize how you (Rob) are rooting for the 49ers because it's your home state, but when it comes to the Superbowl, I show my true favorites.

Just the aluminum regular plate.  http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSXB8&P=7 Other wise you can spend more on a plate with cooling fins.  But I haven't had any trouble with mine.
