Hi guys.
Ok so a local indoor offroad club is opening and a few of my buddies are champing to get in on the action.
After some discussions I eventually steered them toward the Caldera SC 10E.

So the first brave soul bought one from our local dealer and got it back to my place so I could install the Deans connectors the rest of the world uses, all good, battery in, switch on... Steering servo stripped. And I mean, it was stripped already, not after 1 minute of running, junk fromthe factory.

Now I know that the first mod to any Caldera is a decent servo but that's a poor start - period.

So I dig out a replacement servo from my parts box and set it up but what's this?? The Servo saver is so slack the wheels barely turm with the truck lifted off the ground, and no adjustment device? The whole servoi saver moves up and down its shaft.

I'm already getting embarassed I directed the guy into the Redcat and the other boys are slowly stepping rearward from the whole idea.

I couldn't find anything about the servo saver being problematic on this vehicle so what gives??

had the same thing on my earthquake 8e, which has basically the same steering setup.

there is a part on top of the bell crank that adjusts the servo saver. it needs to be tightened down, its just loose.

if i recall, you have to pull the top plate off first

Yea thanks Buddy, you're right Once I sat down with him and started pulling it down we saw the [otherwise hidden] adjuster.

It may lack refinement but from the rookie-esque punishment he ladeled onto it tonight at the indoor club I think the Caldera SC10e is definately tough !!!
