I have a 9303 (upgraded) to 9303 2.4. I will be using this radio on a Ziroli Hellcat with a AR9110 spektrum reciever. I would like to know how to program the radio so when the gear switch is activated (gear is retracted) the tail wheel will not move within the fuselage. But rudder will still work in flight and when landing the tail wheel and rudder work together on the ground. I am guessing that some type of mixing is required.

Please help

Is the Tailwheel Steering operated by a separate servo connected to a separate channel and then mixed with Rudder? If so, I believe you can assign the Gear Switch to the Mix such that when the Gear Switch is in the Retract position, the Mix does not work and the Tailwheel will not move.

There has been a recent post regarding how to stop the Nosewheel from moving when the Gear is Retracted.

going from memory as i don't have a 9303 in front of me but i do believe it has pos0 and pos1 in the mix screen, if you leave pos1 as 0%, assign gear switch to pos1, then the mix is deactivated when the gear is retracted, pos0 adjust the desired mixing value with the gear switch in the extended position.

at no time will a mix cancel out the master channel as you indicated above.

Try this:
9303 Inhibit steering
2 Ailerons:
Device Select: Aux#2…Inhbit
Wing Type: NORMAL
Mate: Aile-AUX2
2 Flaps: Device Select: Aux#3…Inhbit
Wing Type: Normal
Mate:Flap-Aux#3
Elevator: Wing Type: ELEV-INH
Rudder: Wing Type: RUDD-INH
Steering: Device Select: Aux#4
Rudd D/R
OUT: INH

Mix#5: RUDD->AUX#4
Pos0 0% Pos1 +100
0% +100
Offset 0

AIL GER RUD MIX
Pos1 |
Pos0 | | |

Now go the monitor screen an check everything...When you place the rudder
Dual Rate switch in the Pos1 the steering will work...when in the Pos0
The steering will not work.
Adjust Travel Adjustment at AUX#4 for
Steering movement.

Try it .. Go to the Monitor Screen and See what happens when you move the D/R switch
from Pos#0 to Pos#1 and vise a versa..while moving the rudder .

This is what Mix#5 should look like:
Mix#5: RUDD->AUX#4
............Pos0......0%......Pos1....100%
.......................0%................100%
...Offset...0
..........................AIL GER RUD MIX
.................Pos1.................I..........
.................Pos0....I.......I........I
Note: You will have to SHADOW..RUD...press the Roller and it will move to the top.
I had to add the dots so that everything will line up...The line are in Mix #5...Any other questions: email me: paiv@netscape.com

I was not aware you could do that with the 9303. Thanks for the info.
