I wanted to see if all the West Coast Clubs running Warbird Races this upcoming year might try to schedule races so they are not overlapping and allow for max participation and maybe get a few out of towners.  If you have dates for 2012, please post them below. 

Here is the dates that I have found:

March 24, 2012                SpeedWorld Warbird Race                                                 Phoenix,AZ
March 31, 2012                Triangle Series T-34 / Unlimited Warbird Race                  Fresno,CA

May 5, 2012                     Triangle Series T-34 / Unlimited Warbird Race                  Morgan Hill, CA

August 11, 2012               Triangle Series T-34 / 46 Warbird Race ( No Unlimited )    Salinas, CA

October 13 & 14, 2012     Triangle Series T-34 / Unlimited Warbird Race                   Morgan Hill,CA
October 20, 2012              Speedworld Warbird Race                                                  Phoenix, AZ
October 26-28, 2012         West Coast Giant Scale                                                      Rabbet Lake, CA


FYI - The Triangle Series Races will be running Unlimited Warbird Class at Fresno & Morgan HIll Races.   The class is new for 2012 and is wing area / engine displacement.   ( No breakout times ) - Rules will be posted soon.   Please email T34racing@yahoo.com for more info.

Likewise, if I can put all the bad Karma and carnage from last season behind me, and have some better luck making it through this next season's races without losing a plane each time, I should have an extra or two to ensure it's worth the drive for me (and hopefully some more of the Sacramento crew that have also been chomping at the bit) to come down and join you for some of your races, and the Bay Area's Triangle Series, too.   I can think of nothing better than to try to further bond our racing communities together, support each other, and continue to grow this aspect of our sport.  

Mongo, thanks for taking the time to start this coordination effort!

We have set the dates for Hesperia, CA to April 21, 2012 and Sept. 22, 2012. These are RCPRO Warbird races and open to all AMA pilots. Dry camping available on site.

I'll keep what I know up to date at www.rcpylonracing.com like I had last year.

Rules on the return of Triangle Series T-34 events are now posted there as well.

I am expanding a bit to cover the Western area rather than just Central California and it now includes Q500, Q40 and EF1 info as well.

I just looked at the calendar again and realize that the weekend of May 26 is the Memorial Day weekend. I don't think that date will work for a race. If I move it back one week that still gives us 4 full weeks after your race there in Hesperia. I will finalize this soon but let's plan on May 19th for a race in St. George.

April 8th- Big Kahuna
May 5th/6th- Charity Race (you guys don't want to miss this one)
June 3rd- Pylonpalooza
July 22nd- Tres Amigos Warbird Race
September 22nd/23rd- Trashman Classic
October 21st- Two Minute Tango

June 24th- SAM CD's will help with a race in Redding. Same rules as SAM and same pylon setup. Does not count for points in the SAM Warbird Racing series.

Wow, didn't realize the the April race was scheduled on Easter. I'll have to talk to the CD and see if he still wants to do the race on this date. As far as the other two dates the May 5th race will defentently happen on this date. We are planning on ALOT of people showing up for this race. We have some big sponsors and some TV news stations covering this event. It's a charity race benifiting a childrens cancer program where all donations and entry fees will be going to the cause. The September race will likely not be changed as well. I'll keep everybody updated if there is any changes.

Status: offline 		I would assume SAMs would change that date. Easter is a big thing and putting a race on that day would really screw up a lot of racers and their family get togethers and trips.
