I have kind of lost interest in the MUBU project until some power developments get settled for F5D and since the car project days are getting less and less I am looking for some 3-views of the Carbon Slipper to make another Q40. I loved the one DK and Jerry did for Ef1.....Any out there?

I would try Jerry for 3-views. I'm pretty sure his Carbon Slipper was simply a recovered Outrageous. You can also PM Arch Adamisin, he has a pretty good collection. Also try to get ahold of Ray Debbs through the IF1 website, maybe he has them? As a last resort, these two books are an invaluable resource.

Cheers

Dave,

Try getting ahold of Jacob Raquet (SP), he worked on the crew for the airplane at Reno. Bruce and Joann Coffey may be able to help you to get in touch with him.

DK

EDIT: In fact Jacob is in the side view picture that Kevin posted.

Dave,

I see no issues with the Carbon Slipper. However, with the Long stroke and it's necessity to have a heavy spinner, it might be wise to go to a 1.75" spinner rather than a 1.5" spinner.

When you say Minnow, do you mean low wing or mid wing?

One thing to consider, is the landing gear placement. Keep in mind that your AR-6 has the gear in the wing and if you go to a Dural gear with a narrower track some of the good take off habits will go away. Not all but some. Hence why I designed the LOKI and moved away from the Polecat.

Can't wait to see what you come up with. Did you get the wife's car rolling????

DK

Thanks DK,

On the minnow it would be low wing that would be easy, but I am leaning toward the slipper. Whatever it is I want to do clear canopies and pilots again I like the way they look in your EF1s brings back memories (and nightmares)

Wifes car is getting close just needs exterior paint and put back together. I wont do anything until that is finished. I will send you some pics.
