This WWll Fleetboat was recently completed and made her shakedown cruise in Osprey, Fl. The boat performed well with no major concerns. However as with most subs adjustments are ongoing. The boat was modeled after the USS Grouper ss-214 an American, Gato class submarine, as it would appear in the late stages of the war, with cut down conning tower a 5" deck gun forward, and twin 40 mm bofors ( anti aircraft guns ) fore and aft on the tower platforms.
The sub is approx. 6 1/2 ft. in length, but manuevers quite well for a boat of its size. IMO.
It is equipped with a high pressure gas ballast system for static diving, and has working retractable bow planes, revolving radar, audible dive alarm module accessories. see attached video for a look at the boat in action here:

Excellent video and I know lots of effort to complete the build. All that effort pays off when you can see it respond exactly as you anticipated. Great Job. And nice clear water too.

A belated thank you, Tom. I simply haven't been on the forum for some time now, however here is a breakdown of the inner workings of the sub for those interested. Enjoy! and thanks for looking.
