New Boomerang! Introducing the Exige..
Well the new Exige has enjoyed a bit of a journey before its release as the new Boomerang. It was originally commissioned by one of our prominent jet jocks Steve Haynes with the words - "Saw the back off a Bandit and make it fly like a Boomerang, infact I want a sexy Boomerang" and hence the project was born. A huge amount of time effort and cash went into this project over a period of years and finally last year Steve had his dream come true. Chris Leese Wood was the man who finally gave us the all flying aircraft and very nicely it flies too !
So following this journey, Steve has got his plane and the "sexy Boomerang" now resides at its spiritual home amongst its twin boomed forefathers [8D] here at Boomerang Jets
The Exige is fully composite and will be offered as both turbine (P60 size, or for the speed freaks Merlin VT80 powered) and 110mm EDF. A range of retracts will fit but obviously we will offer drop in sets. Our next demo model will be fitted with the new LADO electric retracts which make things super easy. We also have the full trailing link leg setup. There are lots of nice "trick" features incorporated into the design such as the wing and boom fixings which require no tools to put on.
We are currently producing a few aircraft for people who have got carried away and ordered after watching it with the most recent tests using the Merlin VT80 turbine. We are also trying to build up some kits for stock and dealer orders. The kits are being manufactured in their entirety here in the UK at Boomerang HQ.
Kits will be available from "out of the mould" finish, through de seamed and painted in a base colour with vinyl graphic packs up to full custom paint schemes. Kit costs range from £850 (special launch price) to £1399 depending on finish required.

i know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but that's by and far the most fugly boomer i've ever seen. the booms need a drastic makeover to get them more evenly proportioned, they are hideous as is.

1) I could not disagree more.
2) WTH...would it just kill you to be less abrasive, let alone show some respect and basic decency?
3) Try to remember that this is a hobby and hobbies are fun.
4) Try decaf.

IMHO by far the most beautifull Boomerang ever. Allthough the vertical fins do look a bit too big.
Keep up the good work!

I got to see this in the flesh at the weekend and think it looks good. It looked like it flew really nicely as well.

Indeed I thought it was the Tazor.
For what it is worth I quite like it but also wonder if the rudders could be a little smaller.
Given some of the jets being brought in by Modelbau I think it is important to hit the right price on this one if you want it to sell in larger numbers.
Although I like it I already have too many twin boom jobs so wont be after one any time soon.
Good to see you developing a new product however
Regards
Dennis

Clearly you do not need glasses - unlike KC36330 !!!

Clearly the ones needing glasses are the ones who cant see that ridiculously large fin/rudder on those toothpick sized booms. speaking of sticks, Don you can remove that one from your back side any time.

I do think the fins are to big personally but it looks better than the old boomers. Although with the fuse shape it looks like a hybrid that should be called the Boberang or maybe the boomercat haha. Definitely a nicer looking boomer though.

As I was reading the txt I was getting excited thinking it was going to be a conventional fuselage sport jet that suited a P60 then when I scrolled down and seen the pics I was a bit disappointed, think I would still rather the Elan at that price.
