Status: offline 		Man, I hope it's after April of next year, the tax refund will be well spent! I have a 3W-60 and 10 Futaba 3305's that need a new home. However, I will not be using the Robart gear, instead I'll put "Likes Line" retracts in for mains and tailwheel. The graphics required will be for a VF-17 bird that my Dad's 1st cousin flew in WWII ( sorta keeping it in the family). Even though the ESM bird has some issues with the FRP in the fuse I was going to get one but now I will wait for the TF. It would be nice if they would offer this kit in an unfinished version but that would probably be later next year, if at all. I have periodically suggested this plane to Top-Flite as I'm sure others have done as well, ecstatic to see it coming to fruition!

Yes, I was able to use a $120.00 Gold Preferred discount code($120 off $800 to $899), purchased the tail wheel retract also. The retract for the tail wheel will end up costing me $20 when the discount is applied when the Corsair ships.

Hi CJ-
No need to strip those ESM's. Just fill a few holes here and there, and move some turrets around, and make a few new parts, and add some panel lines, rivets and paint and you have the kind of plane you and I love....

Here's my new ESM B-25b. Now I have to decide whether next years Corsair will be TF or ESM.

How were you able to backorder the corsair, Tower's web site doesn't recognize the TOPAO704 stock #, did you place it over the phone?

Yes, you have to call them and give them the stock number. If you have an ad number they will take that also. Right after placing my order I received a confirmation e-mail from Tower.

Status: offline 		Without a doubt! I had told myself that I really didn't need the Giant Corsair when the info was leaked about it, had already ordered the 1/7 scale TF. But after seeing the small one, and finding the 1/5 uses the same retracts as the TF Giant P-40 I couldn't resist.

Looking at the retracts on Robart's web site, the only difference appears to be in the upper strut that has an extra attach point for the gear door. All other dimensions appear identical.
