Sorry bud,
No way SE is worth $700.00. I've seen Fury Expert go for that price.

Is the heli a "99SE" with the split main gear, all metal rotor head etc. etc. or just an "SE". Also what is the engine, OS SXHWC, YS. Value really depends on what you have.

well from looking at the pics it's not a 99SE so your pricing is about average but a bit on the high side. Check this site out to help you guage a price http://www.rchelibase.com/xcell/model/start/

You appear to have a 94-97 Graphite

The SE's are worth that much and some of them even more, the fact that people are pulling XL-Pro rotorheads off of Pro's and SE's and putting them on Furys should tell you something. If the Furys were worth more than the SE's then they'd come with all the expensive parts to begin with. The overall quality of the SE's and Pro's seem to be a lot better than the Fury's, then again just compair kit prices and it speaks for itself.

this is what the guy wrote me about the age. let me know what you think

pepper

i was told it was about 3 years old when i got it. It is model number
Min1003-5 SE. 3-5 because it has some of the latest updates, but not all.
However its age is no longer a necessary factor since it has a brand new 2003
motor and other new 2003 parts and updates.

I had an MDS 68 in a heli once. Flew it exactly twice then pulled it out and sold it cheap. I was not impressed at all.

Pepper, the model as show appears to be an upgraded 1993 thru 1997 X-Cell 1003 Custom. The black plastic elevator arm, visible through the frame holes, was replaced in 1998 with the two piece gold aluminum unit. The 1999 and later models are significantly different.

It is not an SE (Special Edition).

The suffix -5 on the model was only used to indicate what blades were included with the model.

The original model was aluminum bent frames, plastic fish head canopy, plastic fins etc.

The model appears to have been upgraded with graphite frames, fiberglass canopy, graphite blades, and 3D fins. Possibly more, but I can’t tell from the pictures.

The following is a personal opinion: If the unit has an MDS engine, I would replace it before I ever flew the heli.

For what it’s worth - Al
