Yeah now i have to wait on slow shipping

But now i have a real question. The shocks i have on the build are Summit shocks with the Yellow rated springs. So this is what i want in the suspension. I want it too handle terrain well and absord a lot of real rough terrain. But i also would like it too handle real well on the streets like do 65-70 mph. And do a standing backflip. Is there anything that'll do all of that?

i heard that you can zip tie the rockers, that will bring it down a bit but will give you enough absortion on tuff terrain.thats just some thing i seen on you yube, the guy was doing 77mph,and he also took it off road where it did good absorbing jumps and what not...jose0246

The shocks should be fine.  What rockers are you using? P1? P2? LT?

P1s and sway bars will probably help the most with speed runs, but you'll also want taped street tires, too, to get those speeds and be stable.

I run P2s and no sway bars for my bashing setup.  No complaints about it.  Handles great for what I'm doing to it.

The only time I've heard of the sway bars being any help is if you're running it on a track.  Otherwise, it isn't a big deal if you're bashing.  Just one more thing to install, tweak, and break.

Ok so i got the tires and mounted them and it looks great. My question is, is how stiff is your guys suspension? Like IDK how stiff mine should be. So is stiffer better or softer. What's the benefits and negatives of both?

Mine are really stiff, silver springs up front and blue in the rear with 80wt oil all round. It's all about personal preference but the stock setup is too soft IMO. If your going to try heavier oil I would start with 60wt and see if you like it. I guess one of the cons with heavier oil and stiffer springs is that you might be more likely to bend a shock shaft with some big air but it hasn't happened to me.

Well being stiffer does what? Like i know if it's too soft it will bottom out=bad. But does it being stiffer have any downfall? Like does yours take bumps well being stiff and all?

To be honest most of the places I take the E-Revo are pretty smooth, either bitumen or smooth-ish dirt with a few jumps here and there but I imagine that if your going over bumpy ground stiff springs would work against you to a degree. I'm sure there is a happy medium between bouncing around on rough stuff and handling well on smoother surfaces, the stock setup is probably good for that but it's too soft for jumps IMO. If your using the yellow springs all round then it's going to be pretty soft to begin with, softer then stock at least so it can't hurt to try heavier oil. I wish I had a one size fits all easy answer for you but it's all about what you prefer, I kind of had fun with testing out different spring and shock oil setups and I'm pretty happy with where it's at for me and my preferences, it's all about trial and error. Question, does the yellow springs you got have a double yellow strip or one solid colour? If it's a double strip you have the long travel springs.

yeah i got my revo real stiff also,i prefer it stiff,i dont bottom out and like latufu said,i havent bent any rods, not only that ,the revo looks sick when its jacked up...although,getting tires wet was a huge mistake cause the sponge got wet and now wheni do speed runs my tires are outta balance.theres a little shakeing going on...any how depending on your driveing habbits stiff is good all around...jose0246...

Hey guys, I'm going to be spending more time on UltimateRC.com and WonderTiger.com.

RCTech and RCU are both owned by InternetBrands, and from what I can see all they want to do is maintain sites as cheaply as possible for Ad revenue.  Both sites have been running like crap for several weeks now, and they're doing little or nothing about it.  Every other post I make on this site times out and the connection gets reset.  It's aggravating to try to post here.  Especially when there are sites that are just as useful/friendly out there.

If you need me, look me up on those sites, if you don't see me here.

There the 2 yellow striped springs. So what do you think of those?

They should work fine. I just looked back through the thread and saw a pic of your setup and it all looks pretty good, 40wt oil should work well and you can always bump it up if you need to. It looks like you have the PRO2 rockers? Let us know how those rockers go with the LT springs, I am curious to know.

It has been a bit of a pain lately on RCU especially the last few hours, this post has taken 5 tries now. I have become pretty used to copying my post before I hit the OK button which is kinda sad. I don't mind URC so I'll see you there from time to time. I really hope things improve around here though I like the layout of RCU a lot and I guess I'm just used to it.

I wonder if this thread will get anything done?

Yeah it's been a pain. But this is my shock that's leaking. i accidently unscrewed the cap trying to stiffen the springs and a bunch of oil came out. And i put oil back in it and now it's leaking. But i filled the shock almost to the top. so do you think it's just pushing the access out?

Take the cap off again and make sure the bladder in the cap doesn't have any holes in it or anything. Did the oil leak out of that little hole in the cap or through the thread?
