i have the aftershock 8e and wanted to put bigger wheels on it the stock size is aprox. 4.5" tall x 1.75" wide the ones i have are aprox 5.75" tall x 3.5" wide i had to change axles and hexes not a big deal as i have the stuff i ran the truck with them on and noticed shorter run times and it seemed to get hot and cutoff so i switched back to normal size tires my question is what will i need to change i.e. motor, gears or whatever to run these tires without any issues

Do you have the heat sink or cooling fan option for system? I've taken my Aftershock and run it with Avalanche/Monsoon tires with no problems. I do run the fan and heat sink on my setup.

The Avalanche tires not pictured are over 6" tall and 3.8" wide.

Yeah I put the Redcat extensions, / 17mm conversion, on and they were enough to run the larger tires. At top speed that tire is probably more like 9" tall and 0.5" wide. The Earthquake flies on that lager size.
