Check your CG. Sounds a little tailheavy.

How much airspeed did you have when you banked? The motors can have all the horsepower in the world but if you don't have airspeed in a turn, it won't matter.

Shozzy,
The Twinjet needs lots of air over its wings, otherwise it's going to stall, which sounds like what has happened to you. That initial climb you mention may only be a result of your initial toss. Sounds to me like you may have one of your props the "right" way round. In order for your twinjet to fly properly, you MUST invert the props (have the writing on the props facing to the front of the plane, AND reverse the polarity of the motors, so that, as you look at the props from behind they should be turning clockwise. With two 480s you should be into vertical in no time. In order to invert the props you will have to take out the little black spinner and put it in from the other side.
Also, is your battery pack a NiMH? Sounds like it may be. They are notorious for not giving up enough amperage on take off. Also, did you peak-charge the batt?
