Flown alot of 72 Mhz stuff, but have been out of flying since the 2.4 Ghz stuff came in. Have a Spectrum DX7 Tx, can I use any 2.4 Ghz receiver with this radio?? Also, as in previous bands, i.e. 72 Mhz Air, 75 Mhz Ground, is there any reason NOT to use this same DX7 with ground craft (boats)?? Your input & assistance greatly appreciated.

For the most part you can only use Spektrum Rx's. There are a few clones from Hobby King. I have read that some of the 2.4 radios have issues when used for ground control. I have no first hand info.

Thanks for your reply Buzz. I ordered from Hobby Partz a 3 Ch 2.4 Ghz Digital Tx/RX, 79P-GT3B-CarRadio-LCD. For $34.95, how could I not?? I also ordered an extra 3 Ch RX, and a 6 Ch. 79P-R6B-Receiver ($9.00??), and was wondering if the 6Ch was going to be compatible with the DX7 Spectrum. Guess I'll just hook it up to a battery on my bench & try to bind it and see what happens. Perhaps I'll get some other input from someone who has tried the combination

Thanks Andy. Unfortunately it doesn't say, so I must assume it's not. Well for $9.00 I didn't loose much. Again, thanks for your reply.
