Freakinfast. What would it take to get one of those props from you? I think my Macchi needs one. Have been using an APC 10X10 and would like to try something a bit more refined.

The big problem is, the prop is machined out, not from a mold (yet). I have to sneak a part in when the machine is clear with no setup (real job) in it, at the end of shift and when that happens I've got about hour to set up my fixture and make chips(one part) then clear the machine before the building closes up. I waited 2 1/2 weeks for that opening. I'm planing on 5 more variations.

The prop is designed around the needs of a large DF engine and a draggy warbird (max disk area) and the only time THIS prop is most efficient (loads) is at top rpm 20-22K (.84-.92 Mach). Below this range the prop is only mediocre load and thrust, although his may help it get on pipe as a side benefit.

Lastly, It needs to be proved, it's only theory. And will it hold up and not self destruct as well.

OK, so when can I buy one???
I have a draggy airframe (Little Toni) with an OS91DF in it that needs something like this.
Let me know if or when one will be available.

Scott

BINGO!!!, Freakingfast, you sir have arrived at level ground upon an unneccessarily uncommon playing field.

Once you make any neccessary pitch and or diameter adjustments to hit the sweet spot of tip speed to harness compressibility (at W.O.T. on the race course), if your telemetry does not bear superb results right away, remember to go back and re-examine the rest of the prop's design aspects (especially pitch distribution), before calling the tip speed experiment done.

Salute, And Keep At It !!!

Chuck
