Spitfire Brotherhood, as of today it is possible to bring up, "The First of the Few," "The Man Who Designed the Spitfire," (haven't been able to bring this one up with the Churchill statement lately) and a whole lot more, including the "Spitfire Brotherhood" thread. Simply type, "Churchill = the Spitfire, the Spitfire = Churchill, may God bless them both" into GOOGLE. The quotation marks are not needed for GOOGLE but are needed to get the best results with YAHOO.
Click on "Spitfire Documentary BBC - YouTube" link for all the WWII stuff.

ENJOY! I dearly hope everybody is able to get the same web results I am getting. This could be REALLY BIG!

Out.

"mad thorium batteries" typed in Yahoo and/or Google brings up great information about thorium plasma batteries.

Thx for the vote there Casey

Now, my next decision is this, after I get the big Zero finished up+:

Do I build the CompARF Spitfire, or do I finally finish up the 10 foot Taylor/Holman Mosquito I have had framed up and lying around (and henceforth getting banged up) for 7-8 years now?.........

Jeff

Brotherhood,

As promised pics of our finished Ziroli Spits. Both planes are ready for ground testing before the maiden flights.

DKW is mine and DWO is Spadrivers.

Flight testing will begin in the next week or so.

Cheers,

Ham639

RIP my friend. Until I get the cash to buy a new wing. The fuselage survived pretty well. I had made an earlier flight that day with a tail heavy situation. I still can't believe I was able to bring her back safely. Added temporary nose weight (stressing the word temporary). The first part of the flight was awesome. Beautiful ship and handled well. Then the weight fell off and she became instantly tail heavy and I was unable to recover.

Count me in, I have a PICA 88 inch Spit. Would apprciate any input regarding CG location. Been battling the thing for years. Put weight in the nose and it becomes an anteater. Take weight out of the nose and its a snap waiting to happen

Sorry to hear,

Keep us informed on the repairs and/or replacement.

Questions:

Weight?

CG Location?

Before and after added weight. This can help others with their CG locations.

Thanks,

I need some help. I am trying to finish my 72.5 ESM Spitfire. Finally got the electric retracts today. I bought it with a 30cc DLE. The standoffs are 60mm but they are too long. Does anyone know where I can get some shorter ones that might work?

I have used PSP Mfg standoffs (specifically thier "Air Cooling" spacers). Here are links: http://www.pspmfg.com/RCAirCoolingSpacers.html and http://www.pspmfg.com/RCStandOffsMotorSpacers.html
